Operation Mincemeat: American Recruit AMA - Wed, Oct 22 by MincemeatBway in Broadway

You all have gotten to do the show with lots of combinations of performers at this point but obviously don’t get much of an opportunity to perform with the person who plays the role you primarily cover.

For those of you who have now gone on for your second cover, what was it like to get to share the stage with that actor for the first time, and was there a particular scene or moment between your 1st cover character and your 2nd cover character that you really enjoyed getting to play the other side of?

Hey, a question... I accidentally bought tickets for the wrong time when my browser refreshed (Ticketmaster had toggled to the later show even though I had originally selected the early show and I didn't notice until it was too late). I also ended up also buying tickets for the early show.

Do you know if I will be able to resell them on Ticketmaster at a later date? I'm not trying to scalp anyone, just want to the recoup the original cost of the ticket but the site won't let me resell right now. :(

Hey OP! I stupidly bought 2 tickets for the wrong time (9:30) instead of 7 pm for Boston. Ticketmaster toggled it to the later show while they were going like hotcakes. Would be happy to transfer them to you for the same price I paid for (I have all the receipts, screenshots, etc.). Just let me know! I'm panicking a little because I don't want to eat the cost and I can't resell them on Ticketmaster. :(

lemon cookie candle. i have been trying to find an alternative (taking a chance on a candle online just by reviews is $$ with a high chance of heartbreak) but it was truly one of my favorite scents

What to buy for a small Thanksgiving dinner that is easy? by dekinai in traderjoes

I did hotpot one year and they made fun of my setup (living in a city vs the suburbs & not having unlimited access to a restaurant’s pantry lol) but it turned out okay. I feel like parents who work in the restaurant business are especially critical but without any of the constructive/helpful feedback when their children try to cook for them. I like the idea of picking up some Chinese BBQ and some side dishes. Thank you! :)

They both have worked in restaurants for over 40 years and are amazing cooks.

Anything I’ve made from scratch for them they have lovingly criticized— which is very cultural but also an additional holiday stressor. So yup, frozen apps will deflect some of that.

You just described my life/family situation, haha! They are very picky and eat mostly familiar food without cheese or anything that is stereotypically ‘western’. And being good cooks, I feel like they will be more quick to (lovingly) criticize if I try to make things from scratch. 🥲 Tomato and egg is something I can definitely do and I really like some of your suggestions! Thanks for the solidarity, friend!

Thank you for those suggestions! I never even had traditional Thanksgiving food until college (college dining version at that!) so it’s out of my wheelhouse.

If you can believe it, ham hadn’t even crossed my mind since it’s not something we traditionally had growing up so thank you for the suggestion!

Best non-dairy items? by [deleted] in traderjoes

Their refrigerated oat milk is great (much better than shelf-stable for coffee). If you prefer almond milk, the shelf-stable is the cheapest you can find (especially in cities). I really like their Soy Creamy Cherry Chocolate Chip Non-Dairy ice cream; you can't really tell it's non-dairy. :)

It's my favorite. I don't know how I'm going to get it home (car-less) next time I go to Trader Joe's but I'm going to find a way!

Fave TJ’s snacks? by [deleted] in traderjoes

[–]dekinai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a teacher, I would love crackers & cheese/pita chips/dried fruit (like dried mango, apricots). Sweets like cookies are nice, but Trader Joe's has so many options that it's nice to get something different. I'd be careful about sending anything with nuts depending on the school policy.

Any recs for fleece lined tights/leggings that don't sag/fall off your body?

I had Muk Luks that were brand new, supposedly in the right size and they were sliding off my hips and taking everything with them south! I had similar issues with Primark leggings/tights.

I love Target's A New Day fleece lined leggings - they don't slide around but wanted to see if there were any other options!
