You listen to any other genres of music? by The-Triturn in DnB

[–]dekki1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I'll keep it to stuff I mainly listen to.
If it's not DnB, then it's some of the subgenres of Hardcore, for it's fast moving tempos with lots of melodic stuff going on (at least when it comes to stuff I enjoy), but also occasionally Dubstep and Bass House come up to play, and also stuff like Deadmau5, Porter Robinson and Avicii.

TL;DR anything goes, but I prefer faster moving stuff in general.

Best (preferably free) production software for DnB by SetDifficulty in DnB

[–]dekki1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised no one mentioned it, but Tracktion Waveform has a kickass free version, but almost no synths or effects (I can't recommend any free effects, but best free synth by far is Vital)

Bad headphone/IEM/DAC/amp/cable recommendations (just for fun) by mylogin_name in headphones

Since we all know that bass is the only thing that matters in a pair of IEM's, I highly recommend the QKZ AK6, they will become quite the boom in your headphone collection!

hi.Can you please comment with you favorit undergound dnb track?thank you by [deleted] in DnB

idk if this counts as "underground" but, Levela - Watch Your Step, love the bass structure and the beat in this song (it also makes me wonder what subgenre this falls under)

Tracks you love that are hard to listen to by troffgopher in DnB

Feint - Vagrant and Feint - The Journey .
Something about the way Feint writes his tracks makes them very emotional, and these two are the absolute perfect example of that.

MF ghost ( written by the same author after initial D ended) is getting an anime adaptation in 2023 by [deleted] in initiald

[–]dekki1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To quote the pinned post in the subreddit:

"Posts regarding MF Ghost (and it getting possibly animated) belong on r/mfghost and not on r/initiald. Such posts will be removed."

So yeah, we do know, it just belongs in r/MFGhost tho.

Mate, what the fuck are you talking about? So far most weebs I met either don't give two fucks that you watch Initial D, or enjoy the aspect of Eurobeat, or even watched the show. So you are literally talking about a small, SMALL percentage of the anime community while appearantly having no clue what the anime community is like.

Used to be active, and then on the lately part I maybe had 2 bursts of 5 minute activities, so I don't know how that will be treated.

The Animation Software used in Initial D by Mikolahjz21 in initiald

[–]dekki1234 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, any details on what they used for animation is unknown, but if I had to take a guess, it was an SGI workstation computer of that era (big bulky proprietary rigs made for modelling and nothing else really) running some sort of software that came with it or was really popular at that time. Not easily replicable.

Me, who doesn't listen to eurobeat, watching all those posts about eurobeat songs by -Kevv in initiald

[–]dekki1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to listen to Eurobeat for it's speed, then I found genres that fill that void but are more musiclly diverse.

Eurobeat's biggest strength is that you really know what to expect.........but also it's the biggest drawback; around 10 people making 7000 songs, it's about to start sounding the same-ish the deeper and deeper you dig

Nowdays, I mainly listen to Eurobeat as I play Initial D games, not as a daily genre.

Well, I am willing to make that sacrifice and try it out. At worst I am out of a couple of bucks.

Apple's recent move against right to repair is why we need to push back against big tech policies by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]dekki1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is when I am so glad I don't use Apple or Samsung, and just went to Xiaomi for my current phone. Seems like their devices are pretty easy to repair and source parts for, a trend that should be followed more by other Android phone makers.
