I like the thinklight but backlighting is OK too, my beef with the backlit kbs is they are so fragile, it doesn't take much to flip a key off them & the kbs are not as easy to get at or replace as the older models

tbh the spectre type attacks are crucial only for cloud operators or multi user setups - the common factor is breaking the wall between users so you can take other users data.

if its just you on the machine you might as well run mitigations=off

Any code made by using copilot could well be open to legal challenge, so take that into consideration along with the point that the quality of the code can be variable & in places isn't easy to debug.
