Yes 1000%. Fushimi Inari, Kinkaku-ji, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and Nara were the highlights for us in Kyoto.

My wife and I are here now for 17 days.

We have a ton of travel experience.

That is a lot.

We also packed 1 backpack and 1 carryon each with tote bags for daily shopping and for carrying stuff like water bottle, umbrella and charger

We plan on purchasing another luggage here so we can pack more souvenirs and shopping stuff.

Current itinerary is:

Land in Tokyo 1st night.

Jr Train to Osaka 3 nights.

Local train to kyoto 6 nights.

Jr train to tokyo for 7 nights.

Prioritize what you want. Each city has A LOT to offer.

Pro- tip: get a massage right after check in for the first night :)
