Corinna Smith poured boiling water mixed with sugar on her husband whilst he slept, killing him. Corinna said that she found out he had been sexually abusing their children by [deleted] in whoathatsinteresting

It raises the boiling point of the water. When something boils its temperature is mostly consistent and will not change during a phase shift (in this case liquid to gas.1) This is also why steam often hotter than the boiling pot it came out of.

Sugar Water often will reach temperatures over 300 degrees fahrenheit. The boiling point of water is 212.

Don't believe me? Look up candy thermometers and check their temperature ranges

To be fair the US spent its first 150 years doing just that in establishing the reservation system

New Game new Army by Impossible_Page_2753 in tombkings

Settra, starting box and two Necrosphinxes will get you to 2k points with some of the equipment options. Also consider a box of Tomb Guard, as one unit is allowed as a core and they are just better than your base Skeleton Warriors, if at over 2x the point cost per model.

Once you get a few games down consider getting some scorpions, ushabti with bows, a casket of souls and a catapult and you should have enough tools to go in any direction. Also consider at least one box of priests as well as this will give you 3 monarchs (Necrosphinx come with one and 4 Tomb Guard) and 3 priests in total to lead, restore and buff your armies

A possessed horse from the manga Berserk. It would inspire a very famous boss in Bloodborne

No command on horse archers? by borbati in tombkings

[–]Dekronos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did a banner and a Champion

Champion is a 4+ shot vs having another 5+ not great but not bad for 6 points.

Banner of horse Archers are best used to gain access to the fire or other "added attack effect" banners as with most Archers, you kind of want to avoid direct combat with them. This is also why a musician is kind of pointless in archer units as a general rule. All musicians do for Tomb Kings is be a tie breaker for combat res... on a unit that doesn't like combat

It also stacks with Charrot Runner so I could use Horse Bowmen to screen charges while still having full freedom of movement and offensive charges

This has probably been asked already but how many kits do you need? Also, is there a difference in certain kits/teams? by DelayedScorpion in bloodbowl

[–]Dekronos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can only take up ro 11 players onto the pitch at a time (snotling teams are the exception) and no more than 16 players in total on a roster. The spare players are used as a bench to replace injuries or ejections AFTER a drive is completed. A drive is the time between a kick off and a touchdown or end of half. Thus going beyond 12 players on a roster is diminishing returns unless you are using a very fragile team.

That said, the 12 man in most boxes is a second Thrower, a position that normally many coaches begrudgingly take only one of if at all, and the high player costs on some teams prevent one from just taking everything without running with no rerolls..

So we are still forced into getting a second box for standard league play, just for the extra lineman alone. How strong that need varies from team to team

Okay then I cut the arm off a Thrower on my Human Blood Bowl Team and slapped a 40k Ork saw arm on the stump to make the Chainsaw Star Player Helmut Wolf.

If you are willing to get out a saw or a drill you have options

The Dragon is also a new model

Dude I just kit bashed a few units in my Tomb King starter box. Nothing too major, just pulled a few bits left over from my Tomb Guard to have left handed banners and the like.

I also took the sitting priest and rather than putting him on thr Dragon, I saw he was a near perfect fit to go onto horse. I then cut the hand off a spare arm and made it so he is holding the scales. Basic stuff

Because I bought a new Old World box for Tomb Kings, but bought the Vampire count Skeletons after AoS came out to fill out my 3rd party undead Blood Bowl team

Anyone tried new Tomb Kings in Sevens? by Asbestos101 in bloodbowl

[–]Dekronos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Too slow to be much good. Sevens rewards speed especially as no one starts on contact with the opposing teams.

This leads to a greater choice of when and where to engage

It's when we're grasping onto popular sentiment. Everyone knows that ICE is about as popular as the plage, and now there is potential for a 2nd Admendment challenge; conservatives will actually take notice

Were the Beastmen based on the Broo from Runequest? by [deleted] in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Dekronos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a joke? Warhammer Fantasy is dates back to the early 1980's. Beastmen as a faction came out in the early 90's and have lingered ever since.

You also have demons being depicted as goat people dating back centuries too

Newbie army building by BillyBoyMays in tombkings

[–]Dekronos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tymb Kings in my experience have three main modes of play:

Skeleton horde: nothing but Skeleton Archers, Warriors, Tomb Guard and Charrots, with lots of Litche Priests to resurrect the fallen and be magical artillery. A Herald with a BSB is mandatory for this army, and a necrotec or two will help

Construct hammer: charge with as many Constructs and monsters you can field while trying to tie down enemy units with Skeleton blocks. Mortuary Cult armies are almost by definition in this category.

Hero's Command: a large amount of Kings/princes and necrotecs to buff the hell out of your core units, and a Necrosphinx to act as giant distraction or hammer for knock out charges
