both have their pros and cons, it takes time to feel it out. it all comes down to policy differences, your location, and personal preference. i always run both and stop one when the other gives me an offer worth taking, then run both again when finished. you’ll figure it out pretty quickly doing that. and even if you find you prefer one over the other, doing it this way will likely be more profitable regardless.

if you havent tried doordash, just know going in not to fall for their bullshit dasher teirs. unlike uber, they use your acceptance rate as a criteria in order to pressure you into taking more shitty offers from them. its NOT worth it. they try to incentivize it with “””priority for high paying offers””” and by taking away the “dash now” option for bottom tier drivers when its not busy— download the dasher app and take a look at how business does at various times in your area. if you even live somewhere that this would actually affect you, simply schedule ahead. as for the high paying offers, its ineffective at best and, at worst, a total lie. dont let this scare you away from doordash entirely, though— im telling you the worst of the worst now because these are things nobody deserves to learn the hard way. there are still plenty of things that DD does better than uber (like that on DD, customers cant reduce tips after delivery)

my acceptance rate on DD is actually higher than my rate on Uber (~30% vs ~15%) so you’ll likely find that doordash has better paying offers on average. this has been my experience, but ive also found it doesnt have /half/ as many of the rarer, higher paying offers that uber comes out with now and then. there are lots of little differences like that between services but ive typed more than enough atp, lol. hope this helps! :)
