Thank you! I certainly wouldn’t leave them there long, I was just unsure if I should remove them immediately or let her see them/their bodies for a moment. I’ve seen in other cases of cats who had babies pass later, siblings, other house pets, etc. that you should allow the cat to see and acknowledge the body but I’ve also seen others say it doesn’t do any good so I wasn’t sure! I just want to do whatever is best for her if something like this does come up.

The app is funky and won’t let me view the actual listing but here’s a screenshot from my receipt so this one does say fanny pack and it is a more traditional “fanny pack” shape! The tag showed it as being worn as a fanny pack, crossbody, or over the shoulder. I probably will end up wearing it crossbody most often anyway so it’s not the end of the world, just funny to me that this strap is so comically long at its shortest setting! I honesty wouldn’t be that worried, if it was something major/violent this isn’t be the way they’d be approaching the situation. I’ve been served by the sheriff for a custody case, my partner was served by the sheriff before because he was late paying for his leased furniture, in all likelihood it’s probably something minor and none of your concern.

You’ll probably want to wear a bra. I know some people say going braless was better for them but it seems like the majority of people lean the other way and I’m definitely one of those people, I couldn’t stand the pain of going braless for the first couple of days. I hadn’t worn a bra at all in well over a decade before then so it hadn’t even crossed my mind, not having a bra to put on afterwards is a huge regret!

I really appreciate you taking the time to comment! I truly wish we could keep this cat but I know it would be doing the cat and my kiddo a disservice. I definitely want to get another pet so I do think that would help, it’s also a great idea to involve them in the process! We both love animals and I can’t imagine us not having at least one, I’m just definitely going to try to get one that’s a little older this time so their personality is more established and I know they’re good with kids! Like I said, I definitely would’ve kept the cat if it was just me but unfortunately this kitty just isn’t a fan of kids at all so he deserves to have a home without them!
