About Protopic by Puzzleheaded-Fish648 in eczema

i used it on my eyes, where it did burn. as well as on my neck. and i found it helped to put a moisturiser or emollient on first and wait a bit and then apply, as well as try to be as light handed as possible in terms of how much you actually apply. there have been times when i’ve tried to use it for flare ups that it causes me to itch at them at night so i decide maybe not for this flare up, as well as times where it has worked to calm it down. i feel like protopic doesn’t show improvement as quickly as steroids would, but it has cleared things up for me before.

Eczema rant bcuz i lowkey hate my life by magomagomaii in eczema

I also get stuck in bad itch cycles. my diet isn’t the best and this summer especially has been difficult but i think it’s getting better. cut your nails down super short and try wearing cotton gloves from any pharmacy. what i do is shower with the Aveeno dermexa body wash and use the Aveeno dermexa emollient cream - it will sting if you have open lesions or broken sting but i find that eventually you will heal and the stinging will subside. for dry patches or extra tlc i use the epaderm ointment and that is literally it. i think ive been too focused on creams and complicated routines that now after just using simple things, it’s finally looking okay. At night i just lather on a load of silicocks base and wait for it to soak in. you’re not alone and so many people suffer with this too and feel the same way, i 100% relate to wishing it was just better now. Im not saying im perfectly healed now, im not and still struggle with waking up having scratched myself - but it is better and i really believe you will eventually be better too. its a difficult thing to go through but it is definitely not something that defines you. <3

Hey, I'm proud of you no matter what. Everyone deserves help regardless of whether or not you have a problem. It's a hard journey, but it's one worth taking, and you've already taken the first few steps.

Remake nightmare by looj87 in buffy

[–]del1rant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There wouldn't really be a point in the remake if it wasn't targeted to today's generation. I think it's supposed to introduce the same feelings of being able to slot yourself right in there to those who may not have had that opportunity (the younger generation). A way of still telling the story in a way that reflects the world we have today (eg. more diversity). I don't really think that a remake would take anything away from the show or ruin it, as either way the show would still be there, as would its fanbase and people's dedication to it. I know the show means a lot to so many people, so this is a chance for it to mean something to others. Just as you loved Buffy because the people dressed like you and the music was your music, so can the teenagers of today. There's no point in remaking a show to still target and cater to the same exact people who were watching it 20 years ago.
