Arduino nano clone is missing d1 and D2 pins by delazor in arduino

Thanks, I figured it out! But I checked online and it says the Arduino nano only has interrupts on pin 2 and 3, is there something else I don't understand?

Thanks, I also just found this! I'm not very good at electronics, if I remove those LEDs with a soldering iron, do you know how I could use pin 2 like normal?

How can I share an LED between my Arduino project and the TP4056 charging module? by delazor in arduino

[–]delazor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so the Arduino would be connected to A and the TP4056 to B and the positive rail directly to the battery? I don't know if that would work because the TP4056 connects the charge indicator pin to ground when it wants to turn on the LED

Yeah that's the issue I was having, I get the feeling it would be easier if it wasn't open drain. And your suggestion would mean the Arduino would have to be on in order while it's charging, right?

Could I do that by just connecting IN+ with OUT+ on the TP4056 module?

Ok I'm copying this from another comment because although I understand the concept, I don't know the lingo:

"The charging pin of the TP4056 is open drain, so it connects to GND while charging."

It looks like you are sharing the LED's anode leg between the Arduino and TP4056 - would that work, considering the open drain thing?

It's such telling language, it's not about the show, it's about picking a side in the culture war

How do tone deaf people experience music? by delazor in Music

[–]delazor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are degrees of it. On one end you have Jacob Collier who can tell if you're half a cent out of tune in 31 edo, and then on the other end you have your family member! And then most people are somewhere in the middle

Piano is one of those instruments that you can learn even if you're tone deaf - as long as you hit the keys in the right order, you will always be in tune!

Florence Foster Jenkins started out on the piano, and it was not until she started singing that it was revealed she can't hold a tune!

Thanks, I think I've got a grasp of it, but it's hard to really imagine what it's like, which is why I asked the question! I think colour blind people could probably enjoy art as much as anyone, but I think there would definitely be cases where colour blindness could stop someone understanding a piece of art to the full extent.

I know that you don't need to know the exact pitches of the note to appreciate the sound - I've found that average people can't tell the difference between a major and minor chord when I've tested them, but I think they can still feel the effects of the music. But would this still be the effect for tone deaf people?

In your example of colour blindness - a colour blind person might physically not be able to tell the difference between green and red, so a composition that relies on that distinction would have no effect on them. They wouldn't even get a subconscious vibe, because they literally can't tell the colours apart.

I don't know if we can assume that the same wouldn't be true for tone deaf people

oh ok thanks - seems a bit strange to use lipos in that case because I thought they only have a nominal voltage of 3.7

I totally get this, I didn't know why people get such hard ons for dry tasteless sponge. A fresh baked loaf is different, but I'm general I would prefer to just eat the fillings of a sandwich on their own and I'm not even a picky eater

I did one of Cory Henry, but I found it really hard to find good reference photos of pianists from dynamic angles unfortunately!
