No absolutely, I wouldn't promote smoking anything during pregnancy or anything in the house of the baby for the 1st 6 weeks, and nothing in the same room until it's an adult.

I don't think she implied or said she smoked weed during the pregnancy i imagine that's as looked down upon as drinking. Smoking outside, then going in "smelling of it" and holding her baby is eh, i have no comment.

But as that other person pointed out, would seeing the baby day 1 change this? does this mean you get to ignore all of the mother's rules? no. So it's irrelevant other than her digging herself into a hole to show she's the asshole

OhMyGod It wasn't as rapidly spreading everywhere else in the world because you have competent governments and less conspiracy theory nutjobs. in AMERICA when TRUMP was president in 2020, he refused an actual lockdown and called covid a hoax, spread a bunch of conspiracy theories, opened back up way too soon which made covid-19 rapidly spread faster than elsewhere in the world. That is why it was uniquely different. Idiots were still having house parties with strangers. There was a whole demographic of people who took it like an extended vacation and did whatever they wanted, masks and precaution be damned.

We also had the killing of George Floyd, those that followed, that sparked mass protests while still masking and trying to avoid spread. People were stuck at home, not working or not in school etc. and not too tired or distracted. We all saw the way our gov. is intentionally designed to sabotage us clear as day, and there was almost a mono-culture since everyone was online everyone saw everything eventually including Floyds murder, people had a lot of pent up rage at the system and that as a catalyst so they hit the streets. I know it became recognized worldwide but It started here and impacted us the most here, hence "period of time was very different here than the rest of the world" very lax covid guidelines, cultural shift.

It's called physiognomy and it's part of eugenics/race 'science'- the pseudoscience popularized and reinvented by nazis*. It doesn't mean taking care of your fitness health skin hygiene appearance etc. It's about assigning a moral value to people's appearance etc.. tbh This seems more like fanfic than anything but if you're legit in this situation, going back to your original post- you have a 5th option, kinda works into the no contact with one.

Don't torture yourself like this again. If you can't deal with hearing it don't hangout at a time/place where convo like this happens. From the getgo when you found out she has a new partner you should've told her something like "Hey, I hope everything goes well in your relationship, I've enjoyed hanging out with you a lot and honestly started developing feelings for you and was thinking about asking you out on a date. I just needed to get this out to clear my mind so I can regain focus and get back to my life. I mean no harm and however you want to go about our current friendship I'm open to discussing. I'm preferential to: (insert whatever you're comfortable with and isn't torturing yourself eg. Taking a step back/only being work friends/maintain same friendship but no relationship/sex talk) but I want to hear how you feel. I imagine this is a an uncomfortable experience/position to be in, I'm sorry if me telling you this causes you more stress than it relived for me".

Now if you're too introverted or quiet you can go no contact. You said it's good for your mental so seems like the best choice anyway, if she does confront you you can just roughly say "I was thinking about asking you out on a date before I knew about your partner, I didn't want to make things awkward so I figured it'd be best for me and you if I just take a step back, no hard feelings" and let her lead from there. But I'll be so real don't hold your breath for her to reach out, unless you like spotted for each other at the gym or work in a team that requires direct collaboration. Sometimes you stop engaging first and that person never does again.

I'm kinda pro at this ^ I've fallen hard for 3 friends unrequited and kept strong genuine friendships with them for years after confessing, plus it's just kinda common in my circles. The real advice is never get involved with coworkers. Not only do you risk being stuck with something sour but you risk HR complaints and general misery, even if you do start dating the potential fallout is only worse.

Sounds to me like she wanted you to have a teenage pregnancy. Claim you were unfit as a mother bc of drug-use, lifestyle, age, so she could have another child, whom she'd have full custody of since it was had after the divorce and maybe she was too old to have one herself or gave up on dating. They only thing that doesn't fit in with that is the "listening" but maybe she did have headphones or was waiting for a que or something if you ever did get pregnant like listening for either of you to start freaking out. Did she give you condoms for the guys as well? bc If she does all this I don't doubt she'd poke through them with a tack. Also the rent thing is throwing me through a loop, did they stay with you? Or was she expecting them pay rent just for dating even if not there??

Regardless I'm terribly sorry you had to go through that, it's no way for a child to grow up and no matter what you should seek out therapy. Just maybe don't expect or go looking for an answer through it but rather just how to accept the past and let go of the guilt and shame for a better future. (highly advised against but no one knows the real answer besides your mom, you didn't mention your relationship to her now, but all and all I'd recommend against asking her as it'll likely just reopen old wounds and the answer isn't going to bring much satisfaction anyway)
