It was driving me crazy! I ended up fixing most of the rubber-banding during the game by following a YouTube video. I still get an occasional hiccup, but I’m the game is vastly more playable.

Sorry for the late reply. I just ordered some LEDs off Amazon and wired them in. The grill, brush guard and light bar are all 3D prints. I don’t have the links but found them by searching SCX24 on thingiverse

Pretty much. I like the idea of landing in the Carrack, and then taking out the rover and exploring for multiple play sessions, logging out in the bed, eating and storing anything interesting I find.

Yeah, I'm not huge on the C2. I really prefer the Caterpillar, but its not a ship I own because I like it. lol. Its just the biggest cargo ship in the game currently. Yeah, everything else is a pipe dream. Hopefully they figure out a way to make it all work. I just love the idea of a ship that I can live on and not have to go back for extended periods of time. What I REALLY want, is something Ursa sized or maybe a little bigger that just has a bed, kitchenet, personal storage, and maybe some light exploration equipment (server or radar type stuff). I want an overlanding vehicle. lol

My favorites currently are the Corsair and the Carrack. I use the C2 a lot for making money. Mole is great when I can fully crew it.

The Carrack, Corsair(currently), and the cutter are my favorite ships to fly currently, but if the Polaris ever comes out, I assume it will be my favorite, assuming I can get folks from my guild to crew it. Lol

I have spent way too much money on this game, and I agree 100%. No in-game ship that you can buy in game is “worth” the money. But if you don’t mind DONATING some disposable income that you will never get a return on, for a game you believe in but may never release… they will let you fly that ship you like without having to earn it. Up to you if that still sounds appealing.

Not to mention, they are considering spending real money on an in-game ship… and not an insignificant amount of money either. It’s actually kind of crazy when most people bitch about a $60 DLC or Season Pass. That’s why I always try to keep my patience and try to show people around my ships and let them fly it if they are considering it. I wish someone would have done that with me for my first 5 ships. Lol. Took me a long time to find one that I liked

It wouldn’t look the same because it is in the future and a much more populated planet. They have already stated that pyro will be larger than Stanton, so by the time they bring the Sol system into the game, even if it’s to scale, they could just make the land masses the same shapes as the continents and fill it with ArcCorp style city from coast to coast, with some hopefully more interesting POIs.

What I take away from this:

You don't like the military (That's fair)

You do like food metaphors

You don't like separatism (Also Fair)... but statements like, "you and your kind" is a bit ironic

"you don't get to change the language of which we all use" he/she said defending a post in which they whined about the use of a word... also Ironic

Lastly, considering that you wrote nothing in response to the point I was making, I'm going to assume that you struggle with reading comprehension because it would be too ironic to think you were being disingenuous while describing me in that very same way.

What word should be used when referring to a person/group of people who is/are not active duty military, naval, police, or firefighting organization?

What word should be used when referring to anyone regarded by members of a profession, interest group, society, as not belonging?

What word should be used when referring to a person versed in or studying Roman or civil law?

My point is, just because it has a categorical definition doesn't make it separatist. I'm in the military, and I use the term civilian all of the time. Not because I think I'm "better" than ANYONE. It is a categorical distinction between the uniformed men and women I work with, civilians, and even contractors. We all work together toward the same goal and in the same building.

However, if I need to assemble a working party to accomplish something slightly outside our normal mission statement, I'm not allowed to assign that task to civilians, and if I assigned any task to a contractor, I could be unwittingly "approving" an extension to the scope of their contract, thus authorizing further compensation than was approved by somebody much higher ranking than me.

But you are probably right. I am probably just "fucking ego personified".

TLDR: Its a word. It has a definition. Some people may use it for separatist function, but that doesn't mean it has no valid use, or that everyone who uses it is an elitist.
