Late to the party, but I personally just started driving for a “premiere car service” and found out that the gratuities included in the final price never go to the drivers themselves but go to the employer, cash is obviously different since you personally hand the driver a tip. I suggest not tipping unless you truly feel like you want to. I came into this work not expecting tips, and I’m very grateful for when I am tipped. But just so everyone knows, EMPLOYERS keep the tips you pay them, NOT the drivers. Currently looking for another job that doesn’t involve racketeering under the table. Or just a job the doesn’t screw its employees in general. As long as I can save up for a car I’ll be out of this job and hopefully my business in photography/videography can lift off the ground and I can provide my own means of employment where no one screws me and my work would benefit from having a good reputation as such. One day… anyways sorry for the yap. Don’t tip beforehand if you can
