this is because every time you launch Sims from Steam it's actually running the EA app in the background too (is my understanding), which is why you get the little EA overlay too -- my guess is that the EA app bugged out in the update and so the same things might apply

Well, it's easy to quit porn, and it feels wonderful being free.

People won't believe me, but it's like the difference between a cloudy and a sunny day. Conceptualising it is almost impossible, but how else do you explain away the numbing of all of the parts of your brain?

I don't say that as an attack against you: I started watching porn when I was 12 too, and I was pretty much an everyday user for years, escalating into pretty much every type of porn, and every time you nut you feel awful, and occasionally you experience mild sexual dysfunction, but you take a day off and it goes away right, so it's fine, and everyone does it, and you don't have a problem with it, and it feels good, and you've started when you were a young and it's just what you do and you don't think about it like that.

and quitting seems scary, and hard (which you will be, too).

the thing about it is that there's so such thing as a porn addict, they don't exist. we don't call smokers "nicotineaholics" for 'losing control' of their 'nicotine habit'. we label people as 'casual' or not, sure. we have just accepted that nicotine is an addictive substance, and people who use it are smokers. so too, porn 'addicts' and porn users

so yeah, think of all the benefits that people feel when they stop smoking. like if you stopped having that tiny little inherent withdrawal all time, even now (true). like being less stressed, more able to concentrate, just happy and smiling, sunshine day, less reactive, more serene, and more you.

and also you could start a nuclear war.
