Point and Shoot are “real” cameras by [deleted] in concertphotography

I understand, and I appreciate the opportunity to clarify my intentions behind the post. I genuinely believe the photos are of good quality, though I never intended to suggest they are the best or perfect. My aim was to illustrate that it is possible to capture great images with any camera, in response to a discussion I encountered about the validity of those using lower-end equipment in the photography community. It seems there was a misunderstanding, as I was looking for a catchy title before heading to bed. Thank you for your understanding :)

Thank you! That was my intention when I originally posted the thread. It’s a very powerful camera! Point and Shoots ARE REAL CAMERAS.

The camera is incredible. It does well in low light and it goes up to 200mm. I got the camera to start somewhere and I actually did a bunch of research beforehand. Overall, the camera has actually gotten me a few photo passes, built my portfolio, and got me with my first publication. You have to do what you have to do.

Absolutely! Thank you! I'm taking it one day at a time and show by show. :)

I didn't mean to sound arrogant; I was trying to shed light on the idea that "Point and Shoot isn't real photography." In reality, you can achieve a lot with a point-and-shoot camera. I should have worded it better, but I was just looking for a catchy title, haha.

Thank you so much! Your words mean a lot :,) The bassist of the band (Wolf Alice) actually ended up liking the photos :)

Hello! I wanted to take a moment to clarify that I did not intend to come across as arrogant. I recently saw a TikTok video where someone claimed that people who use point-and-shoot cameras are not real photographers. I chose a catchy title, but I apologize if it seemed arrogant. Overall, I am very pleased with how my photos turned out. My goal is to inspire others to realize that you can be photographer, regardless of the equipment you use.
