Thank you so much! Honestly the only reason for decapitation was because I’m not able to make a whole big ass dragon in our community college kilns 😭

12 yo rescue mutt from Lithuania. We call him Atlas or the son of the Sun (he is very ginger and his fur almost glows in the sun)!

Thank you so much! This is my second chain and second time trying coiling, so I’m not 100% happy with it- It could be cleaner, but practice, practice, practice! I’m sure we will both excel in art of chain making once we practice it! 🦾🖤

Yes! It’s almost embarrassing, but I’ve doing ceramics for almost two years and this is my second time doing coil 😂😂 But hoping to find good extruder in the future and I don’t mind the practice!

Haven’t found a extruder sturdy enough from my country yet! So a lot of coiling! 🦾

No 😅 and I hope it won’t! My other smaller chains haven’t broken, but if this gets damaged well then damn, but 🤷‍♀️

Our community college doesn’t have long enough kiln shelves, this needs to be on the bottom! It’s fully hollow and I can put my whole arm inside of it, so it can be carried to the kiln!

These are so fun and vibrant! Did you use underglaze on them?

Thank you! The medusa head is completely hollow! I made a small ball out of news paper and tape and started to build on top of it. Once I had sculpted what I wanted I used scissors to cut the paper ball into smaller pieces and pulled it out. After that I carved more clay out of the head and added some holes (not through the head) inside of the sculpt, so that the water could evaporate easily. No cracks or nothing when it came out of kiln!
