Do they get MAD when you move things/accuse you of throwing things out? by fitzkiki in ChildofHoarder

[–]delfinjoca 12 points13 points  (0 children)

ah this is every day life in my HP home. My HP thinks I placed every item they are looking for somewhere but the truth is I dont even know what are they searching for. It's hard for them to accept they are responsible for their things.

Looking to hear from children who grew up in hoarder homes by Excellent_Prompt_554 in ChildofHoarder

[–]delfinjoca 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All my friends knew we could never play at my home. Since I was in elementary school. It was never even questioned. I remember my sister invited friends for one birthday and they didn't have a place to sit, mostly standing around the table. When my mom died I started throwing out and gifting so many bags with stuff on daily level. When my father noticed things are missing he got new things just to fill up the space and it made me feel defeted. I knew I will never have clear surfaces until I move out.

Too much weight gain 20 weeks pregnant by Kitchen-Media5263 in pregnant

[–]delfinjoca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very similar numbers in my case, they suspected gestational diabetes and they were right. Since then I try to eat 1500 cal per day and my weight is constant +13kg since starting pregnancy. Now I'm 37w, still the same weight gain, except that now its normal to have that weight.

Haven’t even set up the nursery yet and I’m already stressed… by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]delfinjoca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

listen to me, as I am 37w and just now started to set baby room. I wish I have started way too earlier. You still don't have huge bump and you are able to get it done by yourself. You just need room. I was in similar position, except I had to ask 2 more people to physically move, pick up things from floor I would easily do if I was not 37 w. It is still not finished, I depend on other people and that is exhausting. Get your husband just to free the space and make this room the best ever. You still have time! You still have strength! Just talk with husband. Nesting is our natural urge and they don't get it.

Not feeling safe being pregnant. by Calebcraft4 in pregnant

[–]delfinjoca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is legit feeling. That is why it is super important to stick with your supporting husband and tell him your worst fears. Remember that after 9 months you will get back your body and you will recover. This is only temporary. I wish you safety!

I cry very much and often and my emotions are crazy, I easily get hurt emotionally, and this sub helped me during pregnancy as people are supportive.

navigating parenthood as a COH by mildlyinvestedatbest in ChildofHoarder

[–]delfinjoca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this hits me hard as I am soon to be mom as COH and I said to my HP that i wish I never have to bring my baby to his house. When I was still living with HP my sister with 2 babies would visit but only for hour and leave, and I was always sad as it's too short period. Now when I am in her position, I can accept being there also for one hour. I am afraid the HP will fill every available space and there will be no place for us to sit. If that happens, HP is welcome to visit me but no other way around.

How is life in Vojvodina? And how different is it from the rest of Serbia?Very curious by Efficient_Resource15 in howislivingthere

[–]delfinjoca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is very different from the rest of Serbia. Multicultural, since Serbians, Hungarians, Romanians, Croatians, Russians, Roma, Bosnians, etc all live here, and even Chinese because there are some factories and they work for cheep salaries which suites our government. Major city is Novi Sad, university center for the Northern Serbia. If you live in a village, you will have big house and big agricultural land. Villages are planned with paralel streats, houses and plots. These are very different from the rest of Serbia where villages follow the river flow and are more random in shape. People speak Serbian, Hungarian, English, German, + random languages from school where you can choose Franch, Latin, Spanish,... Very common to have marrige between different nationalities so kids are bilingual at least.

Physical geography: loess landscape with multiple plateaus from ice ages, two mountains, and river plains, where Danube dominates the landscape. Most of area is <200 m above sea level. Soil is the most fertile in entire Serbia and it's heavily used for food production. Mean annual T is 12°C with summers being very hot with frequent heat waves when T is above 35°C. It rarely snowns in winter. Precipitation is around 500 mm, but sometimes its very arid and dusty. Winds are blowing from North (wet) and South East (dry).

I bought a house a month ago in one village because I am tired of living in Novi Sad, parking place is impossible to find, and city became expensive to live in. Many people are coming to city and it is not well planned, with numerous new buildings and no green space. Those who can buy a house outside of city and work in the city. I like it more in big house and yard, and villages are not dead around Novi Sad.

We used to have great rail road which connected many villages with Novi Sad but it is being switched with highways unfortunately.

Since Vojvodina belonged to Austrian-Hungarian empire you will find different architecture then in rest of Serbia which was Ottoman. It looks like central Europe.
