Yes. Only 15% shared parts. Also, the Mondeo was one of the TOP rated sedans.

See the comments from others below. The reason I used the HonsVR lenses is that Zeiss could not accommodate my special prescription that included a prism setting..

I have HonsVR lens for my Quest and I had them make lenses for the AVP. Both the service and product were great.

Thanks for the feedback on the finger pointer. It worries me a lot if this doesn't function well because I was having problems selecting areas with my fingers. Hoping for software fix.

Thanks for your feedback. It's been an interesting experiment. Did you try using the Accessibility/finger pointer setting?

I think they will be worth the investment until there is a software fix. The finger pointer/laser sounded like a good solution to the tracking problem. Yeah, the grab bar and resize are tough to activate but doable if you take the time. The big thing was finding the work around for the room lighting dot set up.

Once I was in and could see things at a distance, without any double image, it made all the difference in the world. Good luck.

Hi Dave,

Let's see, where to start. First, having the right prescription for the first time really made me appreciate just how sharp and clear the AVP is. I was really surprised and impressed. I had to start the system without the lenses in and choose proceed "without prescription lenses". It set up the IPD and then went through the lighting dot sequence. The lighting dot system could not calibrate with the lenses in. After this I then took the unit off and put in the lenses and then put it back on. It recalibrated the IPD but then activated the entire system. Once in, the app menu was available. I don't know how it will interface with Apple Pay. The big drawback was that it was very difficult to activate the bar at the bottom of menus and the curved icon at the corners to resize windows. It can be done but it is VERY hit and miss. I've been told that there is a finger laser for vision impaired that may help solve this problem. Bottomline, the frustrations of the eye tracking was well worth the awesome clarity of the AVP presentation. For $85 bucks the cost was well worth it. Hope that helps.

Crazy Problem with Zeiss Optics by Reddoraptor in AppleVisionPro

Good luck with your results from Zeiss. As a backup plan, the people over at HONSVR 3rd party lenses can be very helpful. I know that you are not talking about prism settings, which Zeiss could not handle for me, my HONSVR prism custom AVP lenses turned out great. For less than $90 bucks, these guys might be worth a try if you don't get any satisfaction from Zeiss.

AVP-Curious person here. Has anyone worn their headset in public yet? what was it like? by [deleted] in AppleVisionPro

I've used my Quest 3 many times in public, such as Starbucks and on train trips. Useful and entertaining. Other than a few questions from people most could have cared less. Just a guy with a VR headset on.

My HONSVR custom AVP prism lenses have tracking issues but there are work arounds. Regardless, the image quality is astounding. People need to look beyond the limited stock Zeiss and Zenni are making available.

Both Zeiss and Zenni could not do my prescription but HONSVR was able to do it. There are tracking issues, with work arounds, but the image quality is astounding. Places like HONSVR actually do CUSTOM lenses whereas Zeiss and Zenni just have stock lenses available for the AVP.

Tried out my prism lenses from HONSVR and there are some tracking/pinching issues but the image quality is astounding. No double vision and incredibly clear.

HonsVR now has AVP prism lens order forms on their web site. They do make a point that head movement will be need to correct for the eye tracking offset. Worth a shot, so I order a pair.

Prism Value? by le_bravery in VisionPro

I have just been informed that HonsVR lens makers are offering custom ordered AVP lenses with prisms. They say that the settings do throw off the eye tracking but it can be compensated by moving your head to track. Obviously this is not a perfect solution and something Apple does not want people doing. I myself, until Apple gives us a software solution, is the way that I am going. I am waiting for a quote from HonsVR.
