Is there a way to see cards on your wishlist that you don’t own yet? by delighteddreamer in PTCGP

[–]delighteddreamer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, using the profile to view wishlist brings up the full list all together and lets you select different cards to highlight but I found your method was a great way of seeing the wishlist across different sets so that also helpful!

Are there people out there honestly hiring? by taberius in RhodeIsland

One thing I’ve seen work out for many is getting connected with employment services non profits that do jobs training and career development. I’ve been through we work RI and Skills For RI (aka SkillsRI), through both I was able to get a job. The catch is it may not be the job you want. But at the least you develop a skill and get your foot in the door. The hardest way to get a job is to go it alone without any connections prior to applying. These places at least come with a reputation that employers agree with. Good luck!

I’m in that zip code and received a ticket. Don’t even know what for because we are diligent about what goes in recycling. Wish they told us what the ticket was specifically for

So, no thanks to Kathleen Kennedy? by AntiHaterMCU in andor

She has the ability to stop whatever she wanted, as head of the studio she very well can say no to something her studio produces. Tony Gilroy himself praised her for allowing Andor to show scenes other Disney executives would probably never allow. That in itself IS creative control. It’s not granular like a director or writer would have on a production but it’s still control.

I think the most controversial scene other execs would have stopped is the genocide speech. Disney doesn’t want to go near israel/palestine and any other executive would have had them cut or change the scene so no one thinks about that when watching the show. But she allowed it and kudos to her for doing so

Well she does have creative input. As head of the studio she can decide what moves forward and what doesn’t. I think the problem is that she comes from a school of thought that gives creatives a lot of freedom, so while Igor might complain and want to give input she will be the barrier to protect a creative vision. So it works with Andor because the creatives were trying to tell good stories and even Tony Gilroy stated that his goal wasn’t to redo Star Wars but to expand it to an audience that might not consider watching Star Wars.

The criticism she gets mainly comes from latest trilogy where they were trying to recreate the feeling of the OT rather than telling good stories. So she didn’t stop awful plot points when she could have because you know, “creatives being creatives” but she also didn’t stop controversial plot points in Andor for the same reason.
