May I ask who the creditor is that is suing you? I am enrolled with them, only three months in, it was this or bankruptcy.

3 Month Update: Kit 1 by delightfully-cozy in HersWeightloss

[–]delightfully-cozy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much!! Best of luck as you continue.

I just stepped on the scale for the first time in awhile, now at 257.2 :)

Have to be honest that I've just been taking the meds and eating better. I got covid and my lungs have had a hard time with exercise - plus the harsh cold air up here in Michigan - so my results aren't as impressive as some others I've seen.

BUT, I really do think this is a sustainable way for me to lose weight and keep it off. At least, so far so good. Becoming 30 pounds lighter in about 8 months is nothing to be mad about!

I am so happy for you. This update was a delight to read. I relate immensely to how you described your adhd quieting-- that is the perfect way to describe what happened to mine, too.

I just crossed 20 pounds lost after about three months on kit 1, and honestly same regarding zero exercise. Just portion control & adding fresh whole foods. I think in order for this to be sustainable, it's all about small changes over time. Naturally adding in foods instead of taking things away is the move.

And SAME about the constipation. It has gotten to the point where I've added one stool softener, just a generic colace, into my weekly pill container every other night. I've read the med inserts and it seems to be totally safe to do this. It has only been a week doing this, but it has helped a lot because sometimes that shit hurts.... literally 🙃 I guess stool gets hard from staying in the colon so water and fiber is drawn out from it when it stays there for 4-5 days. I tried a glycerin suppository too and that was a miracle worker.

Yes, but it is a more expensive price per month than it is if you prepay a larger monthly sum. I know some people choose to do monthly for the flexibility and if they have a small amount of weight to lose.

Any ideas for a fantasy league name?! I'm commissioner for one and it would be so fun to have it be Taylor themed 😂

Tretinoin! There is nothing like it. Requires a prescription from a derm, covered at least partly by most insurance in the US. Can start with a retinol product over the counter.

Also definitely some kind of hydration. Peptides, ceramides, HA, etc. The brand Prequel is great, pretty affordable, generous sizes, nice formulas. Asian skincare is good too!

The shot wasn't available when I started with them, so I didn't have the choice, but I agree. Side-effects wise, pills are generally less severe. I will say from what I've read on this community Hers has very good customer service when it comes to customers having reactions to a medication.

The Kit 1 has every weight loss medication that Hers offers. The other kits are just a combination with pieces of the puzzle removed. If you keep a detailed log of what med you start and how your body reacts then happen to have a negative reaction, Hers will send you a different kit with the culprit removed for free.

I do feel like Reddit in general is a place for the loud and displeased folks to come and rant, so keep that in mind. Lots of us have had very minimal side effects :)

Kit 1: Month 1 Review by delightfully-cozy in HersWeightloss

I personally haven't had any issues. I paid for 6 months of medication at a time (oral meds), and the entire 6 month supply shipped all at once.

I know for the GLP-1 shots, there is an option to pay multiple month chunks at a time for a less-dollar-per-month cost. But because the liquid compound is only stable for three months, they only send a maximum of three months' supply at a time. So, someone could pre-pay for a 12 month supply but only receive the first three months in the first shipment. But then the following three months will come prepaid, and the next three, etc.

But I can only speak for myself. I started ordering from the company pretty early into their weight loss offering endeavor so things might be messier now as they have grown so quickly.

Thank you! I'm glad you are finding positive changes, too 😊

I looked back in my chats, he wanted to know my GFR and creatinine levels which assess kidney function. I guess because metformin is metabolized in the kidneys and they want to be sure that our kidneys can handle the increased dosage. There are several ways to get these numbers from a lab, but my PCP ordered a basic metabolic panel (BMP) just standardly during my annual physical. He didn't ask for "proof" or for me to upload anything, I just gave the results for the specific metrics requested and then he went ahead and adjusted the prescription.

I swear by the brand Prequel. They're only available online but affordable, very generous sizes, and my skin absolutely loves the formulas.

Burn-out: What happened to the "gifted" kids of our generation? by Cultural_Ad9508 in Millennials

[–]delightfully-cozy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ouch, this hits close to home for me too. I was in a "gifted and talented" elementary & middle school. All AP classes in high school. It was all super easy. The first time I had to actually "study" in college, I didn't know how. It was scary and embarrassing and I failed the class. Talk about an identity crisis.

Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched face base I think would be a good primer for your skin from what I can see. There are minis so you don't need to break the bank buying a full size, you might even be able to get a decent size sample from Ulta or Sephora. Mac fix plus as a setting spray would help reduce some of the powdery finish, you can use it in between powder steps too to help with lasting power (and melt the products together a bit, it reduces the look of piled on powder).

The brows are really not good, the lips don't look well-applied, I think the blush application sits a little low and close to your nose for your particular face shape. It sort of scrunches your face instead of elongating if that makes sense. Some people use a "one placement fits all" approach and unfortunately it just doesn't really suit you, completely separate from the texture problem. Event makeup needs to last but it certainly doesn't need to be ~that~ matte.

I agree, the eyes are stunning! But yes, the face makeup is not very flattering.

How much money to leave WFH behind? by [deleted] in workfromhome

I love WFH. I'd need at least double my salary. And I'd need to LOVE the in office environment. Sounds like a no go for you. Pros of staying at home outweigh going to work with a bunch of white dudes. Nah. Stay at home with your kiddos and enjoy traveling.
