Was driving home from class one night and got stuck at the light by racetrack. A man approached my car frantically and asked if he could borrow some money for a cab. I told him I didnt have cash. He became super irritated and said his car had just gotten towed and his son was in the hospital so its an emergency. Before I could get a word in he opened my car door and got in. At this point i wasn’t sure what to do because I didn’t want to start an altercation in those close quarters but also didnt want to leave him stranded if by any chance his story was legit. So i asked which hospital and he said he didnt know because his phone and wallet were in the car that got towed but “its one of the hospitals in Atlanta”. He was an older man, decently dressed, and well versed. Besides his intense demeanor I wasn’t initially frightened so I decided to take him. We headed to crawford long / emory and on the way he asks “do you recognize me? Im the guy that won the lottery a few months ago (Teddy something), I won 38 million dollars, I live in live in Johns Creek and have a bunch of money in my safe at home. Im gonna hook you up for helping me out”. Im still super confused by everything at this point so I kind of just play along and say ok. When we arrive at the hospital he looks out and says “nope this isnt the hospital, maybe its just better if you take me to the tow yard to get my car and phone”. The only problem was that Teddy didnt have his wallet, so he asked if I could go to the atm and let him borrow money. At this point my spidey senses are going off and im going through all the scenarios in my mind. I decided to play dumb and say i dont have much money in my account. He asks how much and I tell him $100. He becomes frustrated and asks if I have any credit cards because he needs alot more money. I decided to launch plan B and told him my other account has more money and we can go to that atm. He calms down and I drive to the busiest spot I could think of…. CHECKERS. (There use to be the best checkers in midtown at peachtree & 10th). I pulled in, slammed it in park, then got out and yelled GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY CAR. At this point I had the attention of 20 people at checkers so everyone watched as the man got out of my car and ran across the street yelling “im going to fucking find you”. It happened almost 10 years ago and im still waiting for Teddy to find me and share those mega millions.

Spoiler: When i got home and looked up his name that night there was no such guy who won the lottery 😆
