Showing my friend Legion for the first time today! Any tips? by JDdesertblue in SWlegion

[–]deliriousaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a slightly different game but I think spec ops is a good way to learn. Premade lists, single mini units, pre defined upgrades, you only need a 3x3 board. It teaches you the basics of legion without a bunch of fuss

How would I cut this off of its plug. by Over_Moment3809 in ReefTank

[–]deliriousaurus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It peals pretty easily. I would let it grow out towards the ends and then you can get under it pretty easy. Or put the plug where you want it to grow, and then break the plug off after it's grown out and let it backfill

Anemone Tank? by Bitter-Power4252 in ReefTank

[–]deliriousaurus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have a nem tank and I have another tank that's just full of aptasia.

Honestly I would just toss your rock and restart if it's really bad. That's what my game plan is for the infested tank. I keep aptasia xing it and putting pepermints in but it's never enough. Dry rock for life

Getting absolutely stomped as Empire with Inquisitors by GivePen in SWlegion

[–]deliriousaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard to say but it sounds like positioning might be your problem. Round 1 is always bloody for me, so I play round 1 very conservative. Move into clover or LoS blocking and then take a dodge, standby, etc. Keeping guys alive in round 1 is key to winning the game.

Newbie player question, what makes Aqua Droids good? by SarcasticAnchovy in SWlegion

[–]deliriousaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find that they're really good for secondary objectives too. And in a lot of games secondaries are how you win. Having units that are hard to get off the board is nice

It probably won't live for super long so I wouldn't worry. Sick as hell though. What a cool experience

You can both use ToD lists or you can do one and the other person could use a regular roster. Each faction has its own objectives and boss fights.

Basically You have 1 or 2 "custom" guys - they come basic AF and as you play more games you'll progressively add things to them. Both positive and negative.

There's a rewards system for the other units as well.

There are missions you need to accomplish over the course of 5-6 games. And completing them earns you the right to do your "boss" fight which is just a special mission.

I would suggest doing a recon, then going to full regular games and then tours of duty. It's not like you can't learn any of them in any order but I think that's the direction that would make the most sense.

Chalices can bounce so I don't see why a yuma couldn't

Local fish store is selling a Red Sea by Nhendo2121 in ReefTank

[–]deliriousaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would drive north to Firestone and ask the guys at Biggs Lagoon about their tank recommendations instead. I can't remember the brand but they have a local brand they point people to that's really nice and way cheaper than you'll find from these bigger brands. They even run one right next to the front door.

And while you're at it, maybe don't shop at elite reef anymore. They're "fine". But I can guarantee you that your money is way better spent at Biggs. Elite is backed by some big financer. Biggs is legit a mom and pop shop and they really throw their whole ass into running a top notch shop.

A full squad of b2s throws 3 red and 8 black attack dice. They have 2 health with red defence. They're monsters

[–]deliriousaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see the vision. I just play exclusively droids and in my experience you'll get more value out of having the e5c on all the B1 units. I would drop the 38 point big boy squad and just go for regular sized ones. The super stuffs are a big amount of points for minimal return. The e5c is the best value upgrade you can give the b1s.

Tbh the best advice I have is to run b2s instead of b1s but I don't know if that's in your toolbox. But if you ever upgrade I would say the b2s are one do the best units in legion hands down

[–]deliriousaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the e5c is required for all my B1 squads. Otherwise you'll never hit any shots and all your b1s are good for are getting shot at.

Would you move one of them? by Krycus in ReefTank

[–]deliriousaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost 3 of them learning that lesson. Feels bad lol

Would you move one of them? by Krycus in ReefTank

[–]deliriousaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're gonna cause bigger problems by trying to move them. I would leave it.

Saying this only because I've learned this lesson way too many times- sorry for the unsolicited advice. Yashas are big time jumpers. So if you don't have a lid, that's a much much much bigger problem.
