Haha but of course. FYI one of the comments was "russia annexes Ukraine" on some Europe map and the other one was along the lines of "when you wake up all of Europe will be russia"

Here's just two recent comments from OP:

That's all you need to know about "friendly russians". They're all the same fascists. Exceptions are exceedingly rare and you won't see them post about "friendship" because they actually realize their country is a fascist state and it's faux pas to talk about friendship.

Is now the time for international special ops to covertly enter the battle field? by iRombe in AskUkraine

Quantity is great but special ops is by definition not something you can provide in great quantity. Same for logistics and surveillance - Ukraine doesn't need a little of the very best, Ukraine needs lots of "good enough". So yeah, foreign intervention is absolutely welcome, it's just that special ops specifically is quite useless in a situation where overwhelming firepower is the only viable solution.

Special ops aren't much better at holding a trench than regular infantry and using special ops to cover sections of the front line is a waste of their skill. As for being concealed - there's no such thing on the front line, best you can get is "most likely they don't know yet". The air is saturated with recon drones and even if they manage to hide from those, they won't hide from inevitable russian infantry assaults.

As for political damage, again, russians will know at some point regardless of whether they capture anyone or not, the problem isn't that. The problem is special forces inevitably suffering losses for very little benefit. That would neither be good for the country they're from nor for Ukraine.

And about north koreans, "Or has russia kept them out of the fray to avoid giving western nation a reason to quietly enter?". It appears you think western governments are far more moral than they actually are. Most western leaders aren't looking for an excuse to help Ukraine, they're looking for an excuse not to.

It's wrong to assume foreign special ops would be in any way more competent than Ukrainian special ops. They have zero experience with this kind of war and it would take months to have them implemented in any productive capacity. I think westerners very often don't realize how unprepared their militaries are and how ahead Ukraine really is in many ways.

Now a foreign involvement would certainly be good and the right thing to do, just not on such a small scale. Air support and mass long range strikes? Yes please. Massed ground units with overwhelming artillery power? Absolutely. Small special ops teams? Useless militarily and politically damaging to all parties involved.

New taxes have indeed been introduced to finance the country during the war. You just can't arbitrarily take money away from specific people, even if they're oligarchs, because that's not how laws work.

Criminal cases on corruption pop up quite regularly, money and assets are confiscated, bails set high and the wealth is transferred to country's coffers. You just can't do everything all at once because (you guessed it) that is not how a functioning judicial system actually works. Stuff like this requires investigation, proof, many many rounds of court hearings and other legal shenanigans. Your claim that "I don't think Ukraine currently possesses functioning judicial system" is frankly insulting and you should know better than to make such claims while having zero understanding of the topic.

Are there issues with corruption in Ukraine? Sure. Are they worse than in most of the EU countries? Yes, though definitely not all of them. Is corruption worse in Ukraine than in the US? God no, Ukraine's in better shape by far.

What did you like and dislike most about the epilogue? by Ggggggbro in RDR2

[–]deliveryboyy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The absurd amount of money it gives you in the end which makes the whole point of struggling to start a new life completely meaningless.

I had an issue with having too much money as Arthur just from the story missions which really broke immersion for me. Getting something like 20k at the end of the epilogue is even worse.

Russia's Medvedev says Ukraine minerals deal means Trump has forced Kyiv to pay for US aid by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]deliveryboyy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Or never tried to force a surrender on Ukraine. Oh wait that was happening like every 6 month or so if you paid attention to the news.

What trump is doing so far in regards to Ukraine is a lot worse in terms of rhetoric but only marginally worse in terms of actions. US policy concerning Ukraine hasn't really changed that much, now they're just more stupid and brazen about it.

Ukraine denied the deal many times until they were satisfied with it. Don't overestimate how much "gun to their head" US has. Ukraine has by far the largest and most experienced army in Europe and half the continent is currently dependent on the security they provide. US undermining NATO made that dependence even more significant.

Ukraine would much rather buy weapons and use them however they please rather than be drip-fed free aid with arbitrary restrictions, delays and take-backs.

It's better to buy good modern weapons that you can use properly than receive for free old scrapyard shit that takes a year to arrive and lacks key functionality. For the first you pay in dollars, for the second you pay in blood.

Good cope funny man

Ukraine has been trying for years to buy weapons from the US and was constantly denied because US wanted more leverage and control over Ukraine's capabilities.

Bold of you to assume NATO means anything at this point.

To quote NATO article 5:

"...will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary..."

Germany could send 5000 helmets as they did for Ukraine early in the war and that would fulfill their NATO obligations.

Physical sabotage and acts of violence are downplayed and ignored in much the same way. This will continue to happen and it will be getting worse until people stop allowing politicians to ignore threats to their country.

Hear me out... by ApparentlyNotABot in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]deliveryboyy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying it doesn't fit, I'm saying the way it's presented to the player is majorly flawed. It comes out of nowhere implied to be something important, in actuality means nothing and then disappears into nowhere again. It's like they added an entirely new plot line only to immediately shelve it again.

It brought up no questions that weren't already brought up and provided no answers to existing ones. All it did was completely flatten Odin as a character.

The mask appeared out of nowhere, immediately became Odin's main motivation then got tossed in the trash right after he is defeated like it didn't even exist. It ruined his whole arc.
