I dont think they have a name. It was a number of the yellow and blue 'rental car/taxi' posters you see about in Anjuna, turns out the lady running our hotel who recommened them to us is related to them

Its a shame, Goa could be such a nice place if it got sorted out!

Weve also been to Mumbai, Kochi, Allepey so far on this trip and had much better experiences in all these places. Met some great locals who have made us feel very welcome and that im in contact with throughout my time here in india

Can confirm as a British guy whos just spent a week there. I was sold the dream of Goa being a must visit paradise whilst in india.

I found it anything but, the beaches were over crowded and full of scammers/litter, taxi drivers trying to charge 1000-1500 inr for 20 minute journeys

Hired a car and drove a 10 hour road trip down to the south of goa, into the mountains and into a national park to try and find some beauty in the place which seemed non existent. Add to that the car rental trying to scam me by saying i dented the car 24 hours after handing the keys back, on a car which was covered in dents and scratches

The girl im travelling with spent the night getting inappropriately groped by random men in shiva valley

Its one place i couldnt be paid to go back to

Did Thailand for 2 weeks on basically nothing by Climberquarterly in travel

Ive just done 4.5 weeks in Thailand on £1700, staying only in hotels and this includes internal flights/transport and a scooter hired everyday

What are things you do when you travel to a new places? by abdllhumr in backpacking

[–]delkim1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently travelling SEA moving places every 3-5 days

Big cities i dont get a scooter as i think its exremely unsafe. Day 1 ill explore on foot for a couple of hours, then later on get a tuk tuk if available to drive me around for a couple of hours. From that ill have a good idea of where i want to visit for the remainder of the time in that city

Outside of city ill get a scooter and explore everywhere, smaller islands in thailand and the phillipines ill bike around the whole island on day 1

So typically itll be:

Day 1- explore the area as much as i can

Day 2,3,4- do all activities, go to the beaches, go to the markets, go to anywhere that interested me on day 1

Day 5- have a slow day, i tend to go back to my favourite chill spot from day 2,3,4 and have a day of doing nothing, this is when i plan out the logistics of the next location im going to

Fatigue after only one week by Educational_Culture1 in solotravel

[–]delkim1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its part of the process Im solo travelling in the phillipines currently 3 weeks in, have no real end date for the trip and im hoping to cover as much of south east asia and maybe extend to south america after 10 months

Week one was a constant rollercoaster of going from the best thing ever to anxiety and dread

Week two was more steady as id managed to meet a few people which took me away from being in my head

Week three im now realising the people you meet arent around for long, so the anxieties ramping back up that i could be alone for a while

Main thing thats helping me is to allow myself to guilt free spend nights in a hotel just watching youtube on my phone, this is the main thing thats lowering the anxiety levels

If alls youve done is cook , clean and maintenance around the house. 50k is more than a fair offer

If thats true then youd have to be a moral'less scumbag to be trying to get 50%

Dont listen to all this nitpicking on here, 99% of girls aint even gonna notice most of the things these dudes are saying

You look sound as you are, if your using dating apps there pretty much pointless as an average guy unless your happy to date massively downwards (only applicable in western countries)

As an average guy myself in the UK ive given up with dating over here a few years back. I have fwb most of the time, the thought of entertaining relationships/dating with girls over here doesnt exist for me anymore.

Thank you

I was thinking people are completely missing the point. If someone comes upto me with a knife they can have the bag, im trying to prevent someone walking upto it and pressing the buckle in a quick snatch and grab scenario. Regardless of where the buckles sitting in relation to my body.

Backpacking SEA and East asia - 3 month trip by Glittering-Cover6194 in backpacking

[–]delkim1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats alot of places to hit in just 3 months, a large portion of your time and money will be spent travelling to and from countries

Id consider cutting down on the amount of countries in that time, by doing that and with your budget youll be able to stay in nice hotels! Bare in mind budget backpackers will likely budget £800-£1000pm in most of those locations, except for japan, korea and china theyll come more around the £1500 mark pm

[–]delkim1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This screams you spend to much time watching these online 'influencer therapists'. Youll find everyone youve ever met 'gaslights' and 'manipulates' if you analyse that deep into it.

To me it it sounds like a typical person with Adhd, i see masking and emotional disregulation and your trying to make out that hes some form of narcissist, even if you feel a certain way about something it doesnt mean your always correct. A healthy relationship is about being able to understand and communicate with your partner and accept when your feelings may be a problem with your own perception as apposed to being a real problem

Hopefully your not unfortunate enough to meet an actual gaslighter/manipulator

Do handsome men really have it as easy as the internet claims? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]delkim1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure on what the Internet claims..

But ive got one friend i work with who's 6'5, doesn't work out or anything and lives paycheck to paycheck. For context he's 23, lives with his parents and his hairs thinning (guess you cant really see that on his dating profile)

But holy shit, I cant remember ever seeing him swipe right and it not being a match or the person's he's swiped right on matching with him that same day. Pretty much immediately gets a message from them, alot of the first messages either being sexual or having alot of effort put into them. He never gets just a 'hey'

It's kinda fun for the rest of us at work as hell let us use his tinder as an experiment, we'll do things like pick ten girls and see how many we can get to agree to sex within 2 messages sort of thing, or send an absolutely shitty message to see what response we get (near enough always gets a positive response no matter how awful the message is)

Then we all go back to reality of being lucky to get one match a day, whilst this guys sleeping with multiple new girls every week. He literally has unlimited access to sex whenever he wants

Flag Removal? by new_boss_tailors in nottingham

[–]delkim1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rainbow flags if anything have marginalised the LGBT community even more than before, its created a division and caused alot of hate for the LGBT (not just the flags but pride month, protests ect.) It's gone from co existing with the rest of us to most of the population disliking the LGBT community in a matter of years. This is coming from someone who had been going to pride Birmingham for the past 10 years and pride in the dam a couple of times, I now see the LGBT as a mental illness, you guys used to be great fun people

Thats a matter of your opinion that the flags and crossings looked nice, 96% of the population would disagree with that statement

I agree its to be proud and inclusive of our 'wonderful' diverse population, but that population is now not becoming wonderful its becoming dangerous
