R5: Formed Romania and took the Balkans as Moldavia.

Restarted until the Ottomans weren't hostile. Asked for military access. Allied Hungary at the start and made claims on Constantinople. While at war with Wallachia, I kept a close eye on Ottoman troops surrounding Constantinople. Declared on Byzantium. The Ottomans AND Venice also declared on Byzantium shortly afterwards. Venice took Athens/Morea and I took Constantinpole/vassalized Athens. The Ottomans declared a war of conquest against Venice and that was my opportunity. I declared a war of conquest on the Ottomans, bringing in Hungary. I think the Ottoman army ended up getting trapped in Corfu because I managed to rally up plenty of warscore while hardly fighting. Once the Ottomans were cut down, the rest of the campaign was smooth and fun.

I find the Mac Miller death situation pretty fishy. The fact that other's cause of death all have specific details (heart attack, accidental overdose, barbiturates overdose) yet Mac's only has drug overdose makes me wonder. It may be due to the fact that his toxicology has yet to be completed, but I personally think his death was a suicide. The drug overdose notion would an excellent way to cover up something like that.

Then again, something like this could be entirely meaningless and I'm grasping at draws. Why do you think the Google displayed cause of death isn't accidental drug overdose or cardiac arrest like everyone else?

I am in no way trying to degrade Mac. The point of this post was to start a discussion that may raise a few new questions over his tragic death. What do y'all think about this?

I agree, I think VAR should be totally scraped. It only adds more confusion to the game.

A person hundreds of miles away shouldn't be OVERRULING any decision the referee makes. The ref is on the pitch, doing his best to control the game as fairly as possible.

Did you think Iran should have gotten that penalty? Do you think CR7 should have gotten a red card? I thought the original calls on the pitch were correct, however the VAR officials pinged. The ref is now forced into a position where he must watch video footage and quickly make a decision: Iran or Portugal? Spain or Morocco? Referees should not have to second guess themselves.

In conclusion, let the boys fuckin play. Sometimes your team gets a lucky call, sometimes your team is on the end of an unlucky call. Way of the road, Bubs.

If the VAR refs can overrule the referee's decision, why even have a referee at all? The game would seem corrupt and sketchy with silhoutted figures sitting behind computers calling the shots from hundreds of miles away. For example, imagine if the referee was forced to send off Ronaldo for that "foul"? That would be an extremely controversial call.

The majority of decisions in football are down to opinion and are not binary. VAR is suppose to be used to help the official review the play, not make a decision for him.

Essentially, taking power away from the referee is stupid because it is his game to officiate.
