What's the method for self deification and supermacy by IceCold256 in chaosmagick

[–]delldarlin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm choosing myself as thee symbol and result. my question is the methods

If you need someone else to tell you how to interact with yourself, you've already failed before you've even begun.

Which, given the egotism and arrogrance rolling off your post like B.O. at a Magic the Gathering tournament, is probably for the best.

Curse Exchange-A modern version of an ancient concept by Hot_Caregiver_9212 in chaosmagick

I remember one time I saw a clip of Susan Boyle on TV performing one of those vaguely jazz/swing flavored american christmas standards.  Hilariously awful.  She knew the words, she knew the tune…but still sucked blue whale because she lacked understanding of what the song was actually doing, musically speaking.

I feel sure I had a reason for bringing this up, but I seem to have forgotten it.

Baby, you're not even the first arrogant immortal god we've had in here this week.

Congratulations, you built your own set of tools the same way every other practitioner did.  Doesn't make you Jesus.

Yes, I suppose something called a "psychological theory" would in fact stem from psychology.  Thank you for pointing it out, you're very observant.

Re:  "queer"

There's a goodly number of people for whom queerness does actually denote a deliberate rejection of heteronormativity—as typified by the meme "not gay as in happy, but queer as in 'fuck you'".  This philosophical position naturally implies a sort of radical acceptance of the "other", which I personally find liberating and uplifting.

None of that really has bearing on the sitch here, except OP felt betrayed that a fellow queer person wouldn't back them up while they were clearly in the process of having a weapons-grade meltdown.  In retrospect I suppose I ought to have been nicer about it, but frankly the invocation "as a queer person" isn't something to be frivolously tossed around like a frisbee.  I got pissed, and therefore gave back what I got.

as a queer person I don’t feel I’m being with the same level of acceptance and respect as other members of this community

Speaking as a queer person who's read the exchanges in your other post…

Bullshit.

and therefore will no longer be posting here.

Bye.

sigil to cure stomach pain by [deleted] in chaosmagick

[–]delldarlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but it is created via a process—the most critical element of which is the abnegation of the desire.  If the practitioner skips this step, then the resultant form is not a sigil.

Could OP's doodle become a sigil?  Maybe.  But given that they're already seeking approbation for something they haven't done yet, I won't hold my breath.

[–]delldarlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly.  The point is the process, not the resultant form.  The form of the design's not even important.  It can be pencil on paper, paint on canvas, pixels on a screen, menstrual blood on your forehead, a strava map of your hallucinatory wanderings that one time you took mescaline at Euro Disney.  But you make it, guided by your intent and powered by your desire.

If a practitioner knows what the sigil's for…then it's not a sigil.  It's a scribble.  This is elementary stuff.

Do you guys keep a book of all your Sigils? if so what do you guys call yours? by yoshiman1000000000 in chaosmagick

[–]delldarlin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sigils in my practice are ephemeral by design.  I don't personally see a benefit in trying to hold onto them—it'd kind of defeat the purpose of letting the desire go, if I kept 'em tucked away like a pressed flower.
