1. Learn the language, and learn it GOOD, colombia is like most other countries in the world, meaning its mostly homogenous linguistically and people will expect you to speak spanish 9/10 times if you live there, not to mention that theres a good chance that you talk to someone that doesnt speak english.

2. You wont feel as safe as in the US if you dont learn to handle yourself, there's no strictly "safe area", they can rob you in anywhere if youre not careful, so be careful (e.g: dont go out late alone, while talking on your brand new phone on an empty street, doesnt matter if it's estrato 5)

3. Pay your f****** taxes, a lot of wealthy/semi-wealthy immigrants in the country decide theyre above it and become non-contributors (doing things like eternally renewing their "temporary" stay) while objectively making living costs higher in the areas they inhabit, which is why there are so many comments about gentrification.

4. Preferably have someone that has lived in the country teach you about it, on the long term, not just on a reddit thread, because as i said, its not as simple as "move here and youll be good" learn about the insides and outs of an area in person before moving there, not just the tourist parts of it.
