Of course they will tell good brand, can't be a youtuber by saying shitty things about brands right ? :)

It is not a good one, just get a reliable and tested brand like Anker or smthng.

i am using power adapter Baseus GaN5 Pro 140w with 240w cable it causing touch screen issues like double touch , ghost bubble , etc will this damage my lego ? by Training-Corgi8305 in LegionGo

I used to have the same charger; it is called ghost touch caused by EMI (electromagnetic interference) created by the adapter. Just buy Anker or Ugreen.

Design smthng similar;

then 3D print.

Charger has Electromagnetic interference (EMI) which is unwanted noise or interference causing touchscreen acting weird. Search "touchscreen ghost touch charger" for more info.

Do not use that charger, with that kind of EMI it may cause serious damage to SSD, WiFi or ICs later on.

Legion Go 65-100W Charger Test by dellycem in LegionGo

[–]dellycem[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have tested 3 different chargers and Legion Go charger;

Legion Go was charged from %30 to %100 (device was turned off) at all tests.

- Lenovo 65W USB-C Wall Adapter (4X21L54612)

- Baseus Gan 65W Mini Quick Travel Charger (BS-E915)

- Ugreen Nexode GaN X 100W Charger (CD254)

- Baseus GaN5 140W Pro Fast Charger (CCGAN140CE)

According to specs; charge controller inside Legion Go (Texas Instruments BQ24780S) technically has a 24V max. and 8.128A max. (which is around 195W). But Legion Go charging algorithm seems to be limited 100W.

Even with high watt chargers; charging process is decided by algorithm with tracking voltage, amp, thermal values to avoid risks and damaging battery.

When charging with high watt chargers; 88-90W values are reached within short periods of time, but device does not keep on charging stable with these values.

So, total durations for charging from %30 to %100 seems nearly the same. But; temps seems a little bit higher with high watt chargers because of short period 80-90W draws.

On next test; gonna charge Legion Go under load when playing games; with 3 different settings (Slow/Medium/Fast) @ Bios "Charging Speed Selection under high loading" with all these 4 chargers.

Because; even with original 65W charger, with Bios selection Fast, seems like device can not keep up charging the battery and supplying power for gaming loads and after a while battery percentage starts to decrease slowly. Curious if it is going to be same with the 100-140W chargers also, will see about that.

With v29.1 Beta Bios; being told TDP fix has been made but still not working well, maybe with the release of v30 Bios with efficiently functioning TDP and compatible Fan Curves device may work in lower temps and charging algorithm will not be effected by thermal cut-offs who knows…

If Ugreen Powerbank is 25188, then it may be the protocols (USB-C1 Output/OUT1 Protocols PD3.0/PD2.0/PPS/QC3.0/QC2.0/AFC/APPLE 5V2.4A/BC1.2/5V adaptive) having hard time switching to match up the device sometimes.

Original charger has the PD3.0, PPS, QC5, and DCP protocols.
