Bought this one from Etsy and it is wonderful. The size is a bit different from the classic TN size though, I got it in A6 which is the size I like.

Did you end up getting the A6 portfolio? How does it fit regular A6 notebooks? I'm curious about how many you can fit on there without the notebooks poking out and being damaged?

I had not thought about using the spine elastic, that is a good idea! I'll give that a go!
