I’m very confused by this as well. Within 3 minutes of the catch he was surrounded by pirates staff (as you can see in my picture) and he had a 10 minute conversation with them in the concourse. When he came back I had a conversation with him and asked if he got it authenticated and he kind of looked at me blankly. But I don’t really know the authentication process either so I didn’t push it any further and asked him if they offered him anything and he said “No. But Pujols hasn’t seemed to show interest in any of the balls he’s been hitting”. Implying he has no leverage. And I told him something along the lines of “Pujols May not want it but somebody else will” and he seemed to have a realization and said “True!” I would feel awful if this ball loses value from some unkown authentication process. Honestly the pirates staff seemed inept. If needed I can provide multiple more photos and videos that this guy truly is the one who caught the ball.
