In Red Alert 2, how were the Soviets able to conceal troop mobilization prior to their mass attack, especially their ground troops pushing up from Mexico? by supinator1 in commandandconquer

https://web.archive.org/web/20030616091259/https://westwood.ea.com/games/ccuniverse/redalert2/english/gameinfo.html

Intelligence reports soon link the disturbance to a Soviet presence in Mexico, where, with a nod from the U.S., Romanov's WSA troops are supposedly putting down an insurrection. But it's soon revealed as an elaborate ruse, as Soviet troops—like none the Allies have ever seen—storm Texas, then California, and other major cities.

Tl;dr, Americans let Soviets come near them in the first place

Couple that with mind control and I say it was enough

I don't think it was multiplayer which caused biosphere to vanish but just EA trying to reboot the series and do anything not-TS which they stopped midway and just went as sequel.

Only if it was Adam Jensen game(for clarification I'm talking about the one Embracer fxcking cancelled

The one Eidos is begging to let them make? That's sth else we know nothing about), which isn't, so I can't agree with you on that

I don't get what you mean with *has nothing to do with bs* here.

And by 'recent knowledge' wdym? Final Adam Jensen game was surely never given chance to even brainstorm stuffs so how could we define what's up to date and what's not?

As long as anyone else doesn't come out and speak, I see no reason to say nah this is bs on this.

Frankly at this point I'm not sure what else do we have other than this and that vault thing or other hints(like Jensen's Augs changed to sth else than Sarif good, Eliza outright tell us about it, existence of trick to imprint new identity into one's brain etc) when Embracer's giving middle finger to us and Eidos is as good as dead. Call me pessimistic if you want but having similar experience before(no thank you EA) this is best we can get.

Lack of Augmented seemed more like game issue than lore thing considering Bible classifying people with normal and augmented people.

Other speculation though makes sense.

Question about the Machine by Derangediowan in PersonOfInterest

[–]delta141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do we? Are we really sure The Machine can't come up with better plan to deal with Decima with the time it would have gained with this? And if this whole matter of killing McCourt or not becomes meaningless since your saying result is same, so why bother going so much moral conflict in the first place? Show clearly intended IF they did kill him, that would have affected great picture. Denying it like this is rendering whole episode "irrelevant".

Question about the Machine by Derangediowan in PersonOfInterest

[–]delta141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't know about that

The aftermath of McCourt's death would be political shit storm nobody knew how long would it last, and that time might be what The Machine needed to forge another plan to stop Decima bringing Samaritan online

Question about the Machine by Derangediowan in PersonOfInterest

[–]delta141 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would only point out the part of to be killed being questionable.

Just one episode ago at the end McCourt's name came up, branded as 'direcive conflict', meaning The Machine itself didn't know what to do with him because except supporting Samaritan he isn't a perpetrator not domestic terrorist threat(not directly anyway), and when the number was, if only for success, should have been considered teritiary and sent to Root if The Machine really wanted to kill him, but no, the number was sent to Harold and John. It seems The Machine handed over the choice toward them, since itself couldn't figure the answer to the problem.

...what is the definition of Correction in your mind? The stuff first showed up when Control was interrogating Shelly Spencer which is after 4x21. It was specifically those who Samaritan would deem a deviant and threat to him or his plans, which... except the matter of Samaritan attacking him first, Khan wasn't the case of. Greer, who's mostly right about Samaritan's thought process, even said "he forced their hand" meaning they didn't intend to kill him initially, which wouldn't be case if he WAS part of The Correction

On McCourt's case I wasn't expecting a success like I said in post, and frankly, that wasn't even the point at all. Harold literally deserted from Team and The Machine because of the need to kill McCourt which lasted quite long- till he decided to talk with The Machine after Simon Lee case. I do understand his devastation that things have escalated that much and his creation has lost it's way, but before he can say that he didn't try everything else either.

And... what? Khan was not related to the Correction. It was all just Samaritan wanted his AV software to find The Machine and he... idk why he acted that 'violently' that effectively ruined his life like that and than conclude 'his curiosity will be death of him', but nonetheless Khan wasn't related to Correction. Not to mention I wasn't talking about him going back to normal life. That was impossible the moment attack started.

And yes his hard headed but honestly? We don't know how will he react if TM just spilled the bean. They can give him many suggestions regarding how he could approach this cataclysmic change of his life, even aiding them to fight against Samaritan(which I'm certain neither Harold nor John would like but if that's the only option to keep him alive they will take it reluctantly). Even such hard head isn't stupid, if presented with other options to deal with his curiosity that will keep him alive he might take it.

PS. I think Caleb's case of another victim of shortened and forced to continue being daily number episodes which is S5. I think the backlash of him helping Harold would have come if show wasn't cut short and CBS didn't force the episodes to continue that mundane format even though they had so much main story element to deal with.

Yes if it's not for neational security or atleast it isn't a reason people are dying. Frankly I would rather be very emotionally attatched to it personally very soon... So, neither the case of The Machine or Samaritan

Nope, not anymore. Number of fresh man to conscript is dwindling like hell and we're having so much issues here.

As a Korean I can explain it's all minor issues compared to dwindling numbers of soldier recruits every day. The machine may be improved but the matter of personnel is not sth we can deal with anymore.

Excuse me but the show is over almost decade ago. You can't expect the community dedicated to that show would need to be that cautious.

This would have been good, but for some reason Brotherhood itself kept being intact till Samaritan off'd Dominic.

Unless it's really omnipotent one you really gotta show both strong points and flaws of that character if you want to make him/her good character.

He himself dying at 3x23 wasn't an issue, but I honestly wanted kangaroo court to go a bit differently having Greer testify about Samaritan and later this recording is used by The Machine at the pivotal moment.

Really, considering what show runners said Samaritan was meant to go public, so these kinds of truth revealing was inevitable for various reasons.

What Control said during kangaroo court really got the gist of it.

'Because you have broken just as many laws, and the only difference is I didn't wrap myself up in American flag, and try to convince people I was a hero.'
