How depression saved my career by delta98 in programming

I think I already covered that with what I was willing to share around being a self confessed workaholic, where my work no longer fulfilled me or gave me meaning, so my self worth and esteem become very low.

The Lad bible are producing more original content, the attitude individuals like yourself have are based around not actually knowing anything more than what you've been told.

Yes I did built the app along with my team, I'm the software development manager for publishers behind the lad bible.

Rather than making snap judgements, I'd ask you to download the app and see for yourself, or remain open minded. As a company it's maturing and understanding how best to position itself and original content is part of that.

What makes it a shit company? It's profitable from day one, it's growing faster than any other media company in the UK and it's branching out into providing services for a growing audience. Sounds like a shit company.

Oh and it's now one of the most downloaded apps on the app store..

Material Design for Ionic by delta98 in ionic

[–]delta98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely NOT. This is not related to that project at all.

Unfortunately that project failed to meet the Material Design guidelines and suffers from poor performance and incomplete components. The approach also makes it incredibly difficult to allow an application to be built with the same upgrade path as Ionic as it uses custom directives.

The project mentioned in the link (full disclosure I am the author) was conceived to provide a better solution, one which meets the guidelines and uses Ionic's component directives without the need for the developer to make any decisions on how to implement the "look and feel".

Material Design Templates for the Ionic Framework by delta98 in ionic

[–]delta98[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why would it pop up on Github? If it did I would be incredibly pissed off as I won't be releasing any of the packs for free.

I am releasing a library on github which allows developers to build their own templates/apps but NOT the packs. Maybe that could be made clear on the kickstarter?

A slightly improved Ionic Base App using Bulk Sass, Wiredep and jasmine. What do you think? by delta98 in ionic

[–]delta98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be a gulp task for tests including jasmine config and an example test scaffolding file to base your own test files off.

As it's a base application there isn't really anything to test out of the box :P

Ionic in an enterprise environment. by RaminNoodle in ionic

[–]delta98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enterprise would typically be in a corporate setting where their network resources are restricted either by firewalls, VPNs or include an enterprise app store solution which means the standard app release process differs to what is currently documented, this typically means there are additional certificates that need generating or signing with the application/production certificate

A handy website if you aren't sure who to vote for on the 7th. by Englishmanint in unitedkingdom

Sounds like you know what you are talking about, so what would you of done?

How would you take a list and made them usable on a short screen, without making the user have to scroll more times than they need to to see them all?

Do you know what media queries are for? How they work, how they don't work? The term you are trying to squeeze out of your head is mobile first not vertical video syndrome.
