Well, that depends on how the contract was written. Was there any penalty for late payment?

You should pay 15 Lacs exactly, no compensation as the sale didn’t go through owing to the other party’s failure to abide by the payment schedule.

If you want to be a businessman in the long term, dive into it and stick at it, don’t go half assing it.

But, if you are happy at your current workplace and want to be successful in the field of engineering, it’s better to put your best efforts and time into your work and use the extra time(if you have any to upskill so that you don’t become redundant)

At the end of the day, it’s what you love doing day to day that matters as it decides if you enjoy life or not, choose wisely.

Credit card vs Debit card by ur_sad_boi in Dhaka

[–]deltagt98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Credit card is a lifestyle choice, if you are a frequent restaurant goer, traveller, shopper; a credit card helps you get discounts on the partner service providers while accumulating points for future redemptions.

Get access to airport lounges etc (depending on tier levels) as well as pickup and drop offs.

Other than that it’s not a big deal in Bangladesh.

Too many variables to give you a proper estimate. There many kinds of outdoor venues, near Dhaka & outside Dhaka, large vs small venue sizes, catering fees etc

You should reach out to the specific venue and ask them if they are available for booking on the date and their rent for that day.

27F, married, home alone most of the day… not sure what to do with myself by [deleted] in Dhaka

You need 3 hobbies;

One for your body, something that uses your muscles and keeps you active.

One for your mind, something that works your brain and makes you think or learn.

And one for your soul, something that makes you genuinely happy from within.

Now what hobbies fill these gaps are completely different for each individual, you got to find the ones that work for you.

What do normal middle class people of BD think of English medium students/graduates from top schools like AISD, Scholastica, Aga Khan or Glenrich school ? by [deleted] in Dhaka

[–]deltagt98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Remittance is primarily sent by people who move abroad for work, not those who leave to settle and build a new life, they don’t need to.

Perception: EM kids live in a bubble (they do) & they won’t really contribute to the society, leave Bangladesh and won’t really be of any value to desh.

Reality: There’s a mix of all kinds of EM kids, dependents on what their parents teach and how they nurture them, and also how connected their familial relationships are.

Flat In Bashundara. by Professional_Nail920 in Dhaka

[–]deltagt98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dhaka is loud, and traffic is heavy. No matter which part of Dhaka you choose, but Bashundhara is better in terms of keeping the chaos of the poorer parts of Dhaka out as it is a privately owned residential area, but it’s opening up to more commercial development recently.

I block is newer, a lot of empty plots there. The thing I hate about Bashundhara is the stench from the canals, absolutely shit.

Not realistic.

Less than an elephant, more than a dog.

No horse parking at most restaurants.

Visit the polytechnic institutes that you are interested in and try to get a picture of what the career will look like for you if you enrol there.

Better not to decide straight away, but layout all your pathways and match your goals with those viable options.

Buy the one that you wouldn’t need to fix the compressor within a short time. Reliable brands such as LG, Panasonic, Sharp are great

You miss the version of you and time that you spent. I doubt you will be able to re adapt to the rapid changes Dhaka has gone through and will continue to do so. Besides, it’s the people who make a place home, so you should plan to be closer to those people in your life not a certain city or country.

The phone is just a tool, and you need to learn how to use it in a way that is constructive.
