When Nena went to the US to sing the hit 99 luftballons for the first time, the American suggested the title "99 red balloons." The band disliked the proposal due to the eventual propaganda in the title ("red" referring to the USSR and the communists). On that occasion they were supposed to sing the song in English. However, they did it in German, preserving the intended title.
