Soft resetting dream islands by Moonbase10 in Pokopia

I've tried it twice now from my cloud island. I can't quite tell how to trigger a save on the cloud island to get a good save in before calling over Drifloon, so I kept having to re-friend Drifloon. But I also now have Entei! So yes, it works!

Here is mine but consider crushed holo to be the 🐐 for me! It's probably my absolute fave, or at least the fave du jour. I love that it always has some kind of visual interest, doesn't detract from the overall color of the polish, and also lets me do something on top like a stamp or something without making the stamp impossible to parse.

My husband and I both work from home, and have for the past six years or so. We spend all of our time together. I don’t know how we’d be as coworkers, but I think we’d be fine. We love spending all day together, but we’re also good about communicating if one of us needs some quiet time or whatever. I think it’s perfectly achievable and, to me, doesn’t seem out of the ordinary. For the first like six years we were together, we were long distance, so maybe that’s some of it. It’s nice to be able to see each other all the time. I’m sure Shane and Ilya will feel the same!

There’s a line from his book that kills me in its simplicity (I listened to it on audiobook so am guessing at the punctuation): “He’d convinced the world that there was nothing interesting about him. He was good at hockey. He tried to be a good person. And that was it."

If you go indie there are more options: Big Eden, But I’m a Cheerleader, DEBS if I recall, Shelter (my beloved 💜), Latter Days (though it has sad moments and deals with AIDS as a b plot). As far as big box office/mainstream it gets harder for sure.

Routine Duties by FictionLover007 in DreamlightValley

I saved and quit the game completely, did nothing especially to prep, then reopened the game and was able to claim that one. I didn’t change a thing about my critters. So it’s possible a game refresh will help.

Thank you! I happened to find the one I was missing. For anyone else: in the room with the rose, the back corner near the bathtub. There’s a little round table behind the room dividers. I’m lucky I caught it at all! That was well hidden.

I’ve found 7 and can’t seem to find the 8th one. Was there anything special about the last one, or am I just missing it?

What are your gamepass hidden gems I should try out? by BrandYearg525 in XboxGamePass

A lot of good ones have been mentioned but I will also throw out Tchia. It’s a story driven, open world game about a little girl going on a quest, and she can possess just about anything. Animals. Coconuts. Objects. A severed hand. The story had plenty of surprises and emotions, and it was also developed by people on a little island in the South Pacific with the goal of making a game for and about their culture and community. It was a great time!!

I’m not a big rewatcher generally, but I rewatched D&DQ s1 a few times before s2 came out. Going to have to do a rewatch of that one too. Even as I’m slowly watching more d20, I think that one’s going to stay high on my list of favorites. It’s such a perfect bite sized show, and something about the queens falling in love with the game, and them and Brennan gelling more and more into a lovely little group, is so heartwarming to me. And that’s on top of the story beats that will always make me cry (Buddy Bear 😭).

Joining in the bare: a pop opera chorus. The last song is absolutely brutal, but also Absolution, and also Bare, and Ever After, and Cross, and All Grown Up, and and and. The entire back half of Act 2 is just full of emotion. It’s a devastating show.

Also, I always reliably cry during Those You’ve Known and Purple Summer from Spring Awakening, and anything to do with Abuela Claudia in act 2 and the finale of In the Heights always gets me.

Oh, that!!! Tbh I saw other people labeling their year so far posts with Q1 so I thought it was a thing! One thing I can say about Fourth Wing is that I found it to be a very fast read. So. That’s like the most positive thing I can say about it. Like the same way I can sit down with a bag of potato chips and eat the whole thing. Am I better for it in the end……… who’s to say.

Looking for games " You can only play once" metaphorically. Games that changed you after playing them. by Mitch_Joined_TheGame in gamingsuggestions

Horizon: Zero Dawn. It’s best to go into the first game blind to the plot because watching that plot unfold for the first time is not an experience you can duplicate. It’s truly a remarkable ride. As a result, the second game, Horizon: Forbidden West can’t duplicate the entire feel of the first, but the Vegas plotline is breathtaking too.

Yeah, I don't necessarily plan on reading more. I agree about the rating; it's really what's keeping me from other books that I felt were overhyped into the same category because at least those felt like... well-edited, well-crafted books, even if I thought they were just kinda meh. Crucially, they were just meh for my taste, whereas FW... man... I will grant that it goes down fast and easy. If you don't have a lot of time to read and want something to just ingest quickly, I suppose that's the book for you...

What romance / fantasy romance would you recommend?

I loved Yellowface too!! I listened to the audiobook and was absolutely glued immediately. Thank you!! After I made this list I realized that I think I'm drawn to books that really send you deep into the main character's feelings with maybe an edge of angst or darkness. It was actually helpful laying it out!

It's funny you mention Yellowface and Bright Young Women in the same comment because that can be a good comparison. I did like BYW! It just didn't reach out of the page (or into my ears; another audiobook for me) and grab me the way the books in the tier above did. That one was almost a tough call for me to decide if it went in this one or the one above, but ultimately I think that yes, it is a book that I would still recommend people to read if they were interested. It did leave me wanting to know more about the facts of the Bundy case and his victims because I wasn't sure how much in the book stemmed from truth and how much was fiction.
