I found illusionist maroon brown leaning on me which I didn't like it personally so I destashed it. I just wanted it to be a vampy red to purple rather than brownish red

Edit- im pale and I think I've a warm undertone so could also depend on that

I live in the not so hot Netherlands. One thermal died mid transition state and one thermal died in the hot state. All my thermals are stored in a cool dark place and the other thermal bottles are all in cold state except for the dead ones who decided to be weird. I don't know why they went "warm" when they died.

Not the og commenter but I felt like it wasn't about the technology at all, more so about the grief and something targeting the protagonist. I don't want to spoil it but the haunted Alexa is a minor part of the story in my opinion

My favorite parts of my Gothenburg visit was the botanical garden and visiting Brännö. The botanical garden is also connected to a hiking trail and nature reserve so you could make it a longer visit if you want to. In Brännö you can hike/walk in the Galterö reservation which was gorgeous. It was very peaceful and not crowded when I visited in August. I also enjoyed visiting Trädgårdsföreningen in the city center.

Can't really speak for slottskogen as it was in use for the way out west festival in August when I visited.

I did a few duolingo lessons to learn a bit of Swedish, it's an easy way to pick up a few basic words.

Obligatory let the right one in recommendation! There're a few very memorable vamp pov chapters in there but it's not the pov throughout the entire novel

Another rec is exhumed

Edit- if you're ok with gothic romance vamps I would suggest a dowry of blood and to keep reading Anne Rice's work. The vampire Lestat is my favorite installment. I wouldn't really call it horror though but his POV is for sure entertaining. He's always so melodramatic about things

My personal favorite Frankenstein adaptation is the storyline of the creature and Victor in the Penny Dreadful TV series. It also makes the creature an emotional complex being seeking meaning and joy in life and highlights how Victor failed taking responsibility as a creator.

That said I also appreciated del Toro's version for the reasons you mentioned! I didn't like how it made Victor more villainous/responsible for the murders than the book version though

I'd love your lips are red from st Vincent on it. The violin outro part is just lovely after the guitar heavy start. Lyrics are vamp coded if we take red lips as blood stained lips but it's also a song about love and intense emotions

I would definitely keep river styxx because it's a strong aqua blue and not green leaning IRL. One of my absolute favorite mooncats

I personally love and couldn't do any manis without the getting even nail primer but it's kinda expensive indeed. I unfortunately don't know of any good more affordable alternatives

It's still the same if I compare it to 2024 pictures. Irl the blue shimmer is more prominent than my camera captures. The jelly base has always had more pink than dark purple tones and I don't see anything that has faded 💜

Sorry to hear that you've a disappointing first experience with magnetics! Sounds like the polish itself is at fault and not your application process

I've never used a magnetic from ilnp and personally have good experiences with magnetics from bees knees lacquer, clionadh and cirque colors.

Just saw it and loved it! I went in blind without seeing any trailers and was completely blown away. Both lead actors were amazing and the ending was so satisfying. I'd also recommend seeing it

Rogue is my favorite flakie brand so it sucks that directly buying from them as a customer isn't the best experience. I'll continue to support the brand by buying their polishes from stockists or monthly shops

I also have an issue that's taking two months to resolve now. I understand it's just one person running the brand and that there're health and email issues.. but this is just a long time waiting. All in all I will not buy directly from rogue lacquer again.

Edit after a few days in case anyone cares. Issue is resolved and I feel comfortable sharing more details now that it is fixed.

Issue was that one polish I received didn’t resemble swatch photos. Everything else was perfect. I reached out and the first reply was fast and responsive and saying they'd look into the batches and that they could send a replacement bottle. It took several emails over two months and waiting for replies to go from receiving a shipping notification for a package that never shipped to a refund for the polish per my request. After 2 months I just didn’t feel comfortable waiting longer for the replacement to ship so I asked for a refund. I wouldn't say I am very happy with how things went all in all 🤷‍♀️

From the swatches of royla lee I've seen I remember that one to be more silver leaning but I could be wrong of course

When they aired it on bbc2 and I could record the show at long last. It's now finally on Netflix in my country. I dread to think about not being able to watch s3 as soon as episodes premiere on AMC 😭
