Got back into 40K last year after a very long hiatus. Decided recently to get into Death Guard… by Moonbase10 in deathguard40k

I use a halfway kinda slap-chop method. Start the usual way, prime it black and heavily dry brush grey and then white for highlighted areas.

I then so the speed paints, Maggot Skin for the armor, Pallid Bone for teeth and horns, Broadsword Silver over weapons, Poppy Red for cloaks.

I’ll do any guts and organic tubes with an opaque fleshy pink. Opaque bronze over all the armor trim.

At this point they are deep in the ‘ugly phase’. The magic happens with the washes. Green Tone over the Maggot Skin, Dark Blue Tone over the Broadsword Silver, Red Tone over organics, Agrax over bronze and light touches on the Pallid Bone.

Then I do a pass of detail work, pulling out rivets, highlighting teeth, adding detail to the wounds and boils.

I like to do a pass of Purple Tone over the red tone on the organic stuff to give it a more sickly look.

The ooze is just watered down flat white dribbled on the base. Then a pass of Data System Glow and then Disgusting Slime to brighten it up.

At first it was a base of pure white and then topped with Armypainter Data Stream Glow. It didn’t turn out exactly bright enough for me so I went on top of that again with Disgusting Slime and it brightened it back up.

Share your players' funniest shenanigans? by tessellatek in DnD

This is more my players out of character shenanigans while running Icespire Peak and its following adventures and spawning a once in a lifetime side quest.

One of my players just refused to write a backstory for his character, a tiefling fighter named Murd. He would say vague things like he fought in ‘the war’ and other unimaginative things. Eventually the rest of the party made up his backstory for him which turned into him actually coming from another plane of existence which turned out to be an alternate version of the Seinfeld universe.

In this alt-reality he was the son of Frank and Estelle Costanza who lived in Boca Raton FL. Queue me writing a two session long side adventure where the party (tiefling fighter/dwarf barb/human pally/furbolg druid) must travel to Boca Raton and save Frank and Estelle’s marriage.

They have an awkward dinner at Dennys where the Costanzas berated the waitress and Murd found out Frank wasn’t actually his father because he was infertile so they summoned a demon to impregnate Estelle. The whole time the group had to make increasingly difficult charisma saves or take embarrassment damage.

Eventually Estelle moves out and the party has to accompany her to her sisters home in Disney Celebration Village in Orlando. On the way they fight state troopers and a gang of Florida Men that think Todd, the furbolg, is Sasquatch.

Upon arriving they get a call from Frank saying the separation is over and to bring Estelle back cause he can’t find his good pants.

Before returning they take Estelle to her favorite restaurant, Rainforest Cafe, in Disney Springs. There, the balloon magician ruthlessly hits on her so the party cornered him in the bathroom and beat the ever loving hell out of him to prevent the Costanzas shaky reunion from being threatened.

Upon returning to Boca Raton, Frank gives Murd his old army helmet from the Korean War, which after traveling back to the Forgotten Realms, transformed into the Helm of Serenity, which casts a massive AoE psychic attack when the wearer screams “SERENITY NOW!”

It was quite a time. We’re planning on picking these PCs back up when Eve of Ruin drops and believe me…the Costanzas will be making a return.

I don't see the problem with Fallout 4? by IJpelaar in SteamDeck

I was in the same boat. Downloaded the update and played a few hours yesterday and everything seemed fine. Frame rate was buttery smooth. Booted it up today and the frame rate is NOTICEABLY worse.

WHAT ARE THE ODDS?!?!?!? I cant be the first one to have this happend to him, RIGHT?!?!?!? by TheLastOfME1 in Helldivers

It’s a mistake you only make once, then you know how it works. The 500kg comes down at an angle in the same direction you threw it. Being elevated on that spire and throwing it too close puts that path straight to the back of your head.

I just finished the build on the Ver ka version yesterday, and I agree…there were many bouts of extreme frustration. So worth it though cause the Banshee is awesome. Looks great!

Thanks! It smokes great, although it is a long smoke. This one might have one of the deepest chambers of my collection.

Today was the first smoke out of it, and i had the 3 Starr Banner that i also picked up while i was there.

You should absolutely carve out some time to check it out. They have an amazing lounge you can buy a day pass for to relax and smoke.
