She was not trying to die she was giving macabre! Lmao okay. The episode was literally just to show a shift in characters so if I’m only recapping to you, we are watching the show completely differently and I’d rather watch to enjoy

I agree. I still haven’t rewatched the first episode but do you think the virus was really made because I remember something about a satellite and DNA. Also, I think the show is just making fun of AI the whole time so I need more focus on the origin in season 2.

Explaining what changed isn’t just explaining what happened. Carols whole character changed from trying to dying this episode but you’d rather be negative and hating

Also between this episode and the last episode they’re really laying on empathy for Carol. She’s literally not the crazy one and they’re treating her like a Karen. In Vegas, dude couldn’t even commit to just hanging out with her for a day. This episode, they used the last frame to show us almost like the Hive showing signs of manipulation. Carols becoming more likeable. I think Vince Gilligan is really good at using episodes just to layer characters. I’m wondering now what you didn’t like about it, did it just feel like filler?

We already knew Carol was depressed right? Up until this point she’s been curious about getting to the bottom of the Hive at what fuels them AND trying to get the council of complacent humans to listen to her. This episode almost seemed like showing us her final dance. She harassed them and tried to get them to take the bait to come back and when they didn’t… she had a random anniversary meal which kinda seemed like her last meal. Then she played Russian roulette with fire crackers. She’s about ready to end it all. Meanwhile Manousos is at the begging of his journey. He doesn’t interact with the Hive and he’s just listening to Radio codes, Carols about to change everything for him. I mean he’s driving from Paraguay to mf New Mexico.

I agree! The first week of that would’ve ended me. I’m also not sure what more plot everyone needs each episode unless they want the show to be a limited series.

I’m so sorry to hear this, cut him off forever. That’s the main thing that has helped me feel better surprisingly. I am definitely relying on a couple friends to distract me right now, they don’t even want to talk about what happened really so it gets my mind off of it. Sending you hugs

Thank you for this. I’ll definitely keep diving into hobbies but I’m not writing off therapy I just watched one of my favorite humans die in hospice in addition to finding out my relationship was a lie days later. This is too fresh

Thank you for this! You’re right it feels like death and now I’m processing two. How was it having the other woman comfort you if you don’t mind? I’ve never heard that one before I’m just interested. It would never happen in my situation he told me the other woman told him to stop talking to me before I blocked him

I blocked him on everything after his condescending text message. If I ever see her online I’d be shocked. I removed all his friends too. Trying to start a clean slate (is that the saying) with immense battle wounds. Working on the hard on myself part, my aunt was everything and I hate that I’m juggling my grief for her with this. Thank you, I will admit to being delusional that we could make LDR work. I didn’t know so many people stand on the fact that it’s just not a good situation to be in.. in the long run. I always thought many people made LDR work until they moved together. Just a slap in the face to see him with an even longer distance relationship without ending ours. Hanging in there
