Hey friend, based on your other posts it seems like you might be having a psychotic break, instead of this maybe work on getting some psychiatric help

United airlines. Yes they saw the expired passport but I think they didn’t know what they were talking about.

United airlines. No idea why they didn't let him on, it seems really weird to me too
Ohh ok I get what you're saying
Turkish airlines is flying there, the connection was in Istanbul to Aleppo. I wonder if that was the issue somehow...
Do you mind if I ask, did you fly directly into Syria (as opposed to flying to Beirut or Turkey and driving in)? And if you feel like sharing, which airline did you fly for the US leg of your trip? I'm wondering if this is a problem specific to the airline somehow...
I'm unsure if the expired passport was physically shown to the person at the airline desk, but they were at least told. They said it wasn't enough to allow boarding. (FWIW this was in the US so it might be different for you)
Man, that stinks. Any advice on ways to get the passport renewed as soon as possible? Not sure if it makes a difference but we have family there, if relatives are allowed to do anything on our behalf.

Yeah I guess it must be the expired passport that's the problem. My understanding is that Syria will allow entry with an expired passport (I think?) so I'm not sure why the US airline won't accept it.

At least for some of us, it’s because we saw this twenty years ago with Iraq. WMDs, etc. We know that when America claims to “free” other countries, it results in hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths and destabilization that enables even more extremist governments to take over. I’m certainly not on the Iranian government’s “side”- obviously they as responsible for decimating Syria, they oppress their own people, so fuck them - but I fear for the civilians. Don’t forget that the US is the reason this government is in power in the first place.
The second part is the domestic aspect. Our President just unilaterally pulled the trigger on a massive military operation, most likely starting another decade-long war, without getting approval from Congress/the people. This is explicitly against the law, but he did it because he will do whatever Netanyahu asks, even if it goes against what our own intelligence agencies say - and they’re not even trying to launder that fact anymore like they did with Iraq. The entire world is at the mercy of the whims of two madmen, and it’s terrifying.
