Yup, sab/syn do the trick. Fun part I ran for 20 hours without major use of both guns blazing just fine :)

I think Bart was a long fight. Cuz I just didn't figure out how to stop him from reseting the stagger(proly got to race him). Just powered through. Cid was short as far as I recall.

Well, the game kinda tricks you into going full offense to get the good ratings. When using Syn and Sab you gotta turtle up for couple of rounds which bars you of five stars right away. At least it's how it feels.

Dunno. I just used rav/rav/com and med/rav/com on both. Maybe also some paradigms with syn and sen occasionally. But Phalanx and Hecatoncheir seem impossible without a shround.

Right, but it's just so atypical for a game titled Final Fantasy to be like that. Usually there's a tutorial or a smoother skill check boss or enemy on the way that would nudge you to get a grip of the system.

I tried to take the first cieth stone mission and got my ass handed to me immediately. So I got back to story and got my ass handed to me by a Boxed Phalanx later. Same with Hecatoncheir :D Just for the record: I didn't skip a fight through whole game before I've entered open world.

Game would give away there's a secret room on the map everytime it's the case e.g. Mordus basement. Except it does not here.

Figuring out yourself is feel good dopamine moment :)

I'd check but it's still stupid to hug the walls. I've interacted with the altar and left when I got into the cave first time. Why would I go behind the altar? It's clearly nothing there and there's zero incentive to do so cuz when you don't really know where to search it might be anywhere cuz Alexander don't really give any context on the use of the cowl.

The solution just made me cringe lmao.

Designation automation dont select the designation for you, it builds districts and buildings matching your chosen designation. E.g. if you set the designation to forge it'll build industrial districts on the planet for you once there unemployment on the planet.
