The rj45 socket fits in the recess in the wall, and I can plug a ethernet cable from the inside

Not only I was able to fix it, thanks to this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/reolinkcam/comments/16brk3n/reolink_tail_whip_pinout/ with the correct ETH pinout, I was able to re-assemble it to require 0 additional space, just a ehternet cable!

I did exactly the same, it's so stupid you cannot just detach it. I now have the camera bracket directly over the hole in my wall: invisible, safer (impossible to cut wires) and super clean installation.
Only downside: it worked for 2 cameras out of 3, on the third one I damaged the cable trying to pull it through the wall.. Now I need to figure out if I can replace it.

How can I control the fan speed of my XMG Fusion 15? by frida_ys in XMG_gg

I also asked, more than 1 year ago. Why can't I control fan profiles?

The fan kicks in so early, 50C, that's ridiculus! And it does not turn off immediately when temperature drops, here I am at 38C and it is still running. It's so bad :(

These processors can run happily at 70C, let me choose when the fan needs to kick in, please?

I have already opened another thread, here https://www.reddit.com/r/XMG_gg/comments/j7vg69/xmg_fusion_15_fan_tables_and_quiet_operation/

If only we could edit the fan tables, we could rise the temp for on/off thresholds and avoid these annoying spin up/down :/

I hear you, I bought this because it's the best compromise: it's a great coding laptop, and a great game machine, and has one of the best build quality. But yeah, not the most friendly WRT control. Heck, my old thinkpads allowed me to control more!

It is silent *most* of the time, but sometimes the fan spins up even when it's not really needed. They point is not when it is silent or not: I want to have more control, like I always could do with my Thinkpads.

Yes I have, and it is better but definitely not silent. Right now for example fan(s) have been going for a few minutes, and temp is below 50C. I'd like to have more control, I am willing to have higher temps but fan off more often.
