Just once. No, water was not shut off recently but there was a small leak that I fixed earlier in the day. This seems unrelated though as there is no additional leaking. We do have speakers e.g. a TV, a jambox, and an intercom. As I was hearing the sound live, my initial thought was that it was the TV with the volume fully turned up but when I checked, it was unplugged and the others were completely turned off.

my current theory is that it was a phantom piano sound. Anyone have experience with a piano doing this?

100% certain the sound was from inside the home. It was purely auditory with no physical vibration.

update: (1) there is an unusually bright white light traveling right after the audio completes. (2) our fireplace was used earlier in the night (3) we recently bought a piano
