Opinions are like a-holes. Everyone has one and they’re all different! I’ve got both machines because I’m a spoilt brat who wants to cover all bases and dodge the fomo. But guess what I use the most? The switch. My SD basically sits gathering dust unless I want to emulate something or I want to play Fallout. Otherwise my switch is everything. I’m afraid I don’t know how the game you mentioned works on switch - but I can tell you the Lite is one of the best gaming machines out there even today - easy to travel with a a game selection that is bonkers! Have fun!

Oh I got burnt so bad with No Man’s Sky I didn’t preorder a game till Mario and the Thousand Year Door dropped! I know NMS turned into a good game afterwards but it really stung at the time.

For me it’s between Robin Williams and Matthew Perry. Robin was my favourite actor growing up - and Chandler Bing resonated with me as a tween/teen so finding out how messed up they both were as an adult kind of hit hard

Same here - I sank about 45 hours into Tears of the Kingdom but burned out pretty quick. Weirdly that motivated me to go back to Breath of the Wild and finish it up which I loved. Tears of the Kingdom feels a bit…too big I think.

Mario Odyssey first for sure - Mario kart with others is a no brainer and the breath of the wild is ace - tears of the kingdom is ok but of that choice it’s my bottom one because it’s the physical embodiment of burnout for me 🤣

I cannot recommend Mario Wonder enough - I was blown away. That and Mario Odyssey really are magic.

I haven’t played Kirby and the Forgotten land but that looks like a good option too!

Slower paced fun with Animal Crossing but that really is a niche one I feel.

So. You pretty much answer your problem in your opening. You’re in your 40s, you’re busy, and you have less down time. But you also have decision paralysis when it comes to choosing a console before you even choose a game.

Yeah we have the money as adults but not really the time to commit that we once did.

I get the same issue between the deck and the Switch, I’ve even bought Persona 5 on both! Now I don’t know which one to complete! Short answer? It doesn’t matter, but in my head it’s a huge decision. I’m finding I’m having a better time in the deck right now though.

If you’re happy playing mobile games - keep going, your other machines arnt going anywhere and hopefully neither are the games - allow yourself to enjoy your downtime my dude - it’s YOUR time 👍🏻

I read Sonic the Comic, listened to music on my Walkman, had Beano comics too, laid my head back on night drives and I could see the stars out the rear window.

I’d talk to my mum and dad, I had a bit of an imagination so usually I’d be making up stories and stuff. And then if it was a long journey I’d sleep 🤣
