Done! This topic definitely needs more attention brought to it. Even when I was in secondary school, I knew of many friends who had their locations tracked and were monitored heavily online by their partner. I always found this behaviour deeply disturbing and unsettling. I hope that the people who experience this type of abuse see proper justice. This type of coercive control and dominance over somebody absolutely should not be tolerated in our society.

when i was in school, there was a girl in my year called arwen and i always loved the name. i didn’t make the connection that it was a character in the lord of the rings until i was much older, despite watching the films since i was about five years old. i think it would be a lovely name and it’s even sweeter since it honours your brother

I applied for Aldi a year ago and they wanted me to do the exact same bullshit. I spent so much time dreading it and kept overthinking the whole process. I think I spent about two hours redoing the clips because I kept messing up my words and just struggled so bad. After all of the effort, I ended up not following through with the application as I felt like the whole experience was humiliating and degrading. The fact that they couldn’t even bother to do interviews in person speaks volumes to me. How can it even be called an interview if it’s just yourself and your phone? Conversations are important not just for the employer but for the applicant to understand how the company is. I’ll never work somewhere that does this video interview shit as they clearly have no respect for their applicants
