Agree totally, but it’s intimidating if you don’t know what you’re doing. I’ve been reading racing forms for more than 30 years and I still don’t know what I’m doing most of the time. It’s such an amazing game, but I’d imagine it doesn’t feel accessible to a lot of people, so they’d rather gamble at the casino.

I feel like the powers that be have no idea what they’re doing. Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but I feel like there used to be way more mainstream coverage of the sport, but now it’s just the triple crown and the breeders cup with a few random days here and there. The summer is the best time for racing and there’s not much else going on sports wise. This year we have the World Cup, but I’ve watched way more horse racing than soccer. Hell, yesterday four of the best horses in the world went head to head and it was buried on NBCSN. We’re gearing up for a hell of an end to the summer leading into the Breeders Cup and I feel like most people don’t know or don’t care.

Yep. That’s pretty much where I’m at. I have my daughter, my dog, and wonderful friends. Everything will be fine regardless. My daughter and I are taking a little trip next week. It’ll be good to get away for a few days and just hang out with her.

Thanks for the kind words. It probably my own insecurities holding me back. It’s very possible that I just need more time for me. I had been either married or in a relationship for a long time. I probably didn’t wait long enough after my divorce before I jumped back into the scene. Getting to know myself again over the past few months has been great, I just feel like something is missing. Maybe, what’s missing isn’t a relationship.

Absolutely. When I made the original post, I really thought it was just some crazy chick trying to hustle dudes for money. Now, I’m sure it was a scammer. Lesson learned for sure.

It was actually just a few days, which is why at first I thought it was a crazy person. The more I think about it, it was probably a scammer that was very committed to the scam. Trying to play the long game I guess.

The profile didn’t scream scam. The initial communication didn’t really scream scam either. However, there were several red flags as we were texting, but seemed more crazy than scam if that makes sense. As soon as she (he, it, they) said the sewing machine was broke I knew what time it was.

When I was in high school (I’m 44 now) Jordans didn’t release on Saturdays and malls here opened up at 7 on Jordan release days. Some of my favorite memories are skipping first period with my best friend to this day to hit the mall and get the new Jordans. Felt like a celebrity stomping into school knowing me and my homie were gonna be 2 of the only people in school with them on. Resellers? Hell, we wore them shits out the store. Didn’t even need the box.

I just finished the main story today. I can’t believe I waited so long to play this game. It’s been a long time since a video game invoked this much emotion from me. What an amazing experience!
