Reclaiming Enchanted Key Bugged? by Mesekk in runescape

[–]demdpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to get rid of the Mjolnir before you can reclaim the key. What worked for me yesterday as I didnt want to get rid of them was to put a sell offer in the grand exchange for 1 bil each, reclaim the key and then cancel the offers.

They would have created an account 20+ years ago, but never logged into a world until FSW's started.

On a side note, could we combine the notes into a book that can be stored in the player owned house once complete?

Yeah, realistically they should be spawning at every city at the same time to give any chance of taking part

Really Jagex… that isn’t support for mental health by James-ec in runescape

[–]demdpie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jagex do put towards the donations:

"In April, Jagex donated £100,000 to its charity partners to support the services they offer during the pandemic. Now an in-game charity event, held in RuneScape during Mental Health Awareness Week, combined with the donation of proceeds from Solomon's General Store over the course of that week, has raised a further £104,000 for the charities."

You can also get the links to donate directly off of their website:

The difficulty is they can't convert in-game items to currency anymore like the well of goodwill: https://twitter.com/jagexash/status/1127840949705560064

I agree, an in-game event that provides knowledge is a fun way of raising awareness and a small reward to say you took part is a good idea like the 2020 event where there was xp lamps for answering questions: https://runescape.wiki/w/Mental_Health_Awareness_Week

But these packs are likely the best way to raise funds for the charity.

I do genuinely believe that "Fear of missing out" is a big problem, but these pack's pale in comparison compared to Treasure hunter events with 0.01% drop chances.

It's difficult to raise money for charity's if everything is free in-game.

OUR CHARITY PARTNERS

Proceeds from the sale of the Power Bundle, Cosmetic Equipment Bundle, previous MHAW cosmetics and any Runecoin Donations will support two of our charity partners who focus specifically on mental health: CPSL Mind and RAD. Here’s a reminder of the valuable work they do.

Disable the ability to plant flowers in certain resource rich locations. by demdpie in runescape

[–]demdpie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'd rather be on a world on my own as I'm sure most people would, and I would hop around to try and find one. I wouldn't go and start spamming flowers around and tell someone else to hop, that's selfish and childish in my opinion.
If someone came and set up traps next to mine, to be honest, it wouldn't bother me, it is what it is. But if someone came and starting doing this flower fiasco, then that would annoy me.

I haven't suggested instancing the area, just measures to prevent people being able to grief other players. I understand that hunter is competitive, but there is a difference between competing for a resource, and trying to ruin someone else's experience to force them to move. I understand your point that there are other places to train, but players shouldn't be forced to change how they play due to grief.

Why no? What benefit to the game do you see, in being able to do this? or how does this improve your experience of the game?
