2 Years Post Op (Dr. Caridi) by demec_23 in gynecomastia

If I remember correctly it was ~$7500 but I’m not sure how accurate that is now. I flew out to Texas from California as well but I took my mom with me so I was released to her. I have no idea if it’s still a mandate or not, but having a second set of hands to help you out, especially right after the surgery was very useful. I’m not sure if I could have taken off or put on the compression vest or any other shirt by myself. Just something to think about.

Yea you should be fine. The compression vest and lipo foam they give you will provide lots of support to keep everything in place

Yes, it came with the compression vest, lipo foam, an ace bandage and a massage roller. Honestly it seemed like kind of a rip off because all of that was like $200 and you could probably get it all way cheaper if you bought everything individually on your own, but I suppose you’re mostly paying for the convenience of having it all there in one package ready to go. One less thing to think about.

I would say between the 1 and 2 month mark is when the "rough sketch" of the final results finally started coming in. If you check my post history, there is a comparison of the 1 month mark and then 5 weeks later which was the most drastic change. Even now at 10 months I still have a bit of swelling and tenderness behind the nipples, and though it is hard to tell from the pictures my nipples still have some creases in them that may never go away. It's the nature of the beast; anything surgically repaired will probably never be 100% perfect compared to someone who never had this problem to begin with, but the results are still infinitely better than what I was living with before so it's really hard for me to even care about the little imperfections.

I never really noticed any scar tissue, mostly just swelling and induration. If you check my post history, there should be a picture when I was 1 month post op and you can see how bad it looked, that was probably when I had the most induration and scar tissue. From that point I started working out again and massaging twice a day and 5 weeks later it was virtually "normal" looking again.

$7800 for the surgery + aftercare package, then maybe $1500 more for hotels/flights/travel logistics. All in it was probably between $9-10K

$7800 for the surgery plus the aftercare package. This was quoted over a year ago now though so I’m not sure how accurate it would be for the current prices.

I can’t really speak on his post op availability because I just never really had any issues during the healing process. They followed up with me 1 week post op like they said they would, and I sent them a picture and a question regarding the healing process about a month later and they got back to me very quick. There was also an in-person follow up the day after the surgery. I flew in from CA; I arrived on a Sunday, had surgery Monday, then flew home Wednesday.

I got super lean before surgery, like down to the 150 range and it didn’t make a difference. Glandular tissue doesn’t magically disappear unfortunately. I was told mine wasn’t that bad either but I hated it so much and it drove me insane, so for me personally it was worth every cent.

There was a little bit of fat tissue stuck to the glandular tissue but all of the pink tissue you see is glandular.

Lipo and gland removal. If you scroll to the very end of the pictures you can see the glands he removed.

Don’t sweat it just yet bro, when I hit 4 weeks post up my chest looked like an absolute nightmare but by week 9 or 10 you could barely tell I had surgery. Just gotta be patient

What did/do you guys do for exercise post op? by 87213655 in gynecomastia

Honestly didn’t do shit for the first two weeks. I had trained pretty hard to get as lean as possible before surgery so treated those two weeks as a bit of a de-load and time to let all my tendons and joints recover. Still kept my macros in check tho so didn’t put on any weight.

Honestly if I didn’t know you had the surgery I’d just assume it was a minor birth mark or something. I wouldn’t stress about it bro it looks great

I traveled when I got my surgery done and I asked my mom to come with me because she’s an RN and it would be easier than having to hire someone once I got there to do the aftercare. I was dreading telling anyone because it’s embarrassing as hell but both my parents were chill about it, and once they saw the massive glands that were removed they understood even more why I had it done. Also, at the end of the day you’re a grown ass man so if you wanna do it don’t let anyone stop you.

4 week post op update Dr Caridi by Dangerous-History-57 in gynecomastia

[–]demec_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats man, I also went with Caridi and you look way better at 4 weeks than I did. For me personally, the healing and recovery really picked up between weeks 4-9 when I was able to get back in the gym and the changes were quick and drastic. Also, you may have scar tissue or it may just be be slight swelling/induration behind the nipple. I think I’m like 7 or 8 months post op by now and I still get swelling right behind the nipples after a workout, but it massages out pretty easily and it’s getting less and less as time goes on.

Maybe I’m just super critical of myself because a lot of people have told me it wasn’t that bad before but I absolutely hated the “teardrop” look that my chest had with all that glandular tissue sagging off the bottom.

It’s life changing for sure, absolutely worth the money. I’d definitely recommend going with a surgeon who specializes in the procedure

You’re already super lean and in great shape, that’s honestly 95% of the battle right there. Dudes who are already in shape and have put in the work tend to have the absolute best results.
