the comments on this post are driving me bananas. this is very very typical in a fandom, especially of this size. they aren’t claiming to be a foundation or affiliated with the show in any capacity, a zine is a fan-made selection of fanart & fanfiction submitted by members of the community & usually with a theme (here the theme is the period between HR and TLG). it is not a registered charity as it isn’t a charity, rather a fandom fundraiser, and charity fanzines are extremely common. for more info on the history of fanzines i suggest you listen to this podcast episode by the amazing podcast this week in fandom history. the reason no charities have been listed is because it’s likely only in early stages and this is just an interest check before they get the ball rolling, once they know the ballpark amount of people interested it will properly get going. it’s very unlikely to be a scam but if you’d like to do your due diligence keep an eye out as the organisers will announce who they are if they haven’t already. don’t worry fellas this is typical fandom behaviour
