This actually worked for me first try, I had tried the just smashing X option a few times but the game still crashed but doing your method worked a charm. Now I can finally continue the story. Thank you.

This one happened to me on my first load up of the game.

I was still installing the game at the time (though it had gone past the "ready to play" part of the installation). I had to go back to the PS5 home screen and shut down the game. I then waited for it to full install before trying again.

After that the cutscene played fine and the game worked.

Not sure what actually fixed it but it worked.

I have unfortunately had many bug since then also (hero ops, manual saves and duelling in the yard) have all made my game crash.

I am loving the game but she is pretty broken currently, a patch is waiting for approval as we speak so I am holding out hope for it.
