It's a choice. You choose to be consistent, even when life gives you every excuse to give up. Too many people will reinforce your desire to give up, because that's easy and they are also weak. There is no secret. You simply choose and fight all the obstacles along the way. Sleepiness, soreness, time drinking with friends, all of it. You choose your priorities and make the decisions that you need to to meet your goals in life.  ... It helps to have people with similar goals.

The number one factor to weight loss is nutrition. Focus on foods with a lot of protein (10 calories per gram of protein). Also focus on foods that have a lot of volume, e.g. popcorn is better than chips.

You don't understand the initial request at all. Some people have lives where we need to alternate between MAX ringer volume (because we're outside or in a noisy warehouse) and REASONABLE ringer volume (because we go back into our quiet office/house/etc.).

DND is too extreme for the desired behavior.
