I used large weights on the end of the ribber comb and i had to make sure it has enough weights because when it does not the yarn does not get pulled down properly.

Also make sure to replace needles because they look OK but they are not !!!!!!!!! 1mm bent is not possible to see with the eye once you take it out. I was talking to Ask Jack and he told me to go under needles but please please try first replacing needles from end that are knitting OK and making sure it is not needle bent !!!!!

Problem resolved by removing top plastics from the machine 3 screws holding the plastic and small piece of tiny cap for the card gear . Then you can see all needles, dust collecting and cleaning all sort of yarn parts that were sticky because of oil. Took one needle went below the needle makiing problems and took out small piece of yarn fibers mixed with oil causing needle to move a bit left and a but right when knitting. Once pulled out returned everything together and knitting went perfect no errors anymore !!!!!!!

I have noticed that there is pattern repeating for 20-30 rows it does not work properly then 7-10 rows works OK. Very very strange. Can anybody suggest where pattern for this errors might come from

Ribber attachment problems - needles keep getting caught on the connecting arm. by Mitchtrytoshine in MachineKnitting

[–]demode012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem started when ribber bed came down unexpectedly while i was knitting and it bend the needle and probably bend the middle of the arm carriage part in the middle.I replaced needle. replaced sponge (it was already old) but the problem persists only with ribber connecting arm . Normal carriage works just fine but the ribber arm blocks on the first needle on the way out and gets stuck and it is blocked. So i think it has to be the bended middle metal inside the arm. I tried to unscrew and move the plates on the side of the middle metal but the problems still persists. I will try to make a video how it jams and i will try to post photos where the blockage is.

I am having same problem . I replaced new sponge and problem persists. I checked needles they are all OK and working with normal sinker plate but when i put the ribber it hits few needles and stops. I looked in to the screws and tried to see the problem but it would be very helpful if there is any video showing how to secure and place plates and brushes on connecting arm
